Both are respected Emcees whose careers leave something to be desired, while their respective mixtape catalogs are equally impeccable.

I have seen a range of interesting opinions on these artists.

I'm curious what the IC thinks of these two rappers pitted against each other. .

    Ok, I am generally curious...

    I never really got into Banks like that. He was a nice rapper back in the day and had some witty punch lines.
    But can someone please educate me on how he is even in the same stratosphere as Nickle Nine...

    Can someone drop his hottest verse, song, or album to help me understand?

    ? always vote off name recognition. I already know most of the people who said rove either never listened to banks or haven't listened to him in 10 years. Know for a fact they have listened to none of the V series or Cold Corner series. As a Detroiter I've heard Royce since forever...banks is a more talented rapper in ever category and in comparison to banks royce has fallen off while banks better than he ever been.

    Royce flow now is almost unlistenable he off beat at least a few bars per verse. Banks better lyrically, flow, musically, etc. Yea royce got Em once or twice but he edged him, banks got Em on every song they ever done together and he's renegaded him not just no squeaked by ? . Royce never did Em how banks did him on "Don't push me". When Royce finally got the ? and dissed Em he backed down soon as Em threw a small shot back.

    Lloyd Banks voice is raggedy. Dude like the Lyfe Jennings of hip-hop. How you sound energetic AND tired at the same time?

    Lyrically theres no comparison. Royce raps circles around Banks and he's more versatile.

    Maybe it's his Oscar the Grouch voice.

    It makes it hard to understand him sometimes, it's annoying, and lends itself to a less dynamic, one dimensional vocal style.

    I'll admit that I haven't heard enough of him to speak with authority regarding lyricism and flow ...
    From what I have heard tho - dude ain't seeing Royce.
