This is exactly what he is. He is the most uncool, lame ass genuis rapper Ive seen. Dude is a ? oxymoron, and is one of the most genuine, real, and personal artists in the game. The only other two I know is K Dot and Big KRIT. But Childish Gambino is approaching Lil B "no ? given" status which I think the game needs.
Hip hop has always been soo self conscious about its image and what not to say and what to say, but there are a few anomies that comes along and leave their mark on the game (2pac, The Neptune's, Kanye West, Wu Tang, Outkast, etc) because they are limitless. That's what Gambino is. Dude would probably join this site and tell everyone he is a ? ? , only to get to Pico and be the only one to smash her in real life.
Hip hop has not have rebels/fearless artists in years. Kayne pushed the envelope so he doesn't have music as his passion, K Dot is limitless, KRIT wanna be limitless but his fanbase is loyal but not huge, so soon he will do something out of the norm. Lupe is limitless now but pretty much blackballed by the streets and black folks.
There leaves this ? Childish Gambino..... I hope artists like Ab Soul, XV, Kid Cudi, Raury, Chance The Rapper, PAC Div, etc drop more ? soon because that "alternative " lane of music been drying up. J Cole and K Dot are the only ones carrying it right now on a big plateau. I'm sadly expecting KRIT to switch up a little soon. I'll still support him though. -

Thanks man. I respect real people in music. The new music I'm hearing now got me feeling like a lame, because everybody aint doing that "fast life" ? . The game desperately needs more Balance.
