Some of you ? don't understand context. Not in terms of lyricism is B2B a top anything diss. But in terms of social media, the impact that it's still having on Meek's career, the fact that it can be played in the club without sounding outta place. All this factors into why it's being heralded as what it is.
I'm not agreeing with the sentiment, but I understand it. -
I kinda mess with CTG, but if you cant name the other 4 diss tracks, then how can you say B2B is top 5?

Future on stick talk

Every time I call Nicki Minaj wack someone always posts this as evidence she can rap. If you really listen to this verse you realize she wasn't saying ? .
I'm not a Nicki fan at all..but uont think she killed this? -
Jay Z verse on Pound Cake. ? was saying that was the verse of the year smh..
-
Lil' Kim on Desert Storm remix.
People say this is the GOAT female rap verse. I'll never understand it. Her flow was on point, but lyrically was average at best. Wouldn't even ? my top 20 female rap verses. I'm not even sure it's her best verse.

I always thought Lil Kim and Foxy Brown were average. Especially considering they didn't write their own raps. I thought Lauryn Hill was better lyrically and style wise, and Lauryn wrote her own verses.
I never got the Lil Kim Foxy Brown hype. -

Them lines are dope. Internal rhyme, multis, metaphors. Socrates used to always try to goad his interlocutors into giving definitions for abstract concepts like Justice and the Good, but even Socrates philosophies can't define how Inspectah Deck be dropping such fire verses.
That's pure hip-hop lyricism 101 my nagga, and that's just one bar. What more do you want?! -

L Boogs is the female GOAT.
I like Foxy though. I personally think she's a bit underrated TBH. She had ghostwriters in her early career, like a lot of female MCs, so yeah, I can understand why people don't rank her highly, but certainly Lil' Kim wasn't better. Foxy had her own style. Kim was just a weak BIG clone IMO.

Put a few words together that sound good? You aren't giving the man credit. There is a pretty sophisticated rhyme scheme going on there. He constructed extremely vivid and imaginative metaphors, drawing on a wide frame of reference and nailing the theme of the song "Triumph". The concept of the song was to establish the lyrical and cultural dominance of the Wu, and his verse did that perfectly. You could tell too because it had exactly that effect when the joint dropped.
I get a lot of the picks in here, but Deck's verse is pure fire. -
Jay Z on "Seen it All"
The Chronic album -
Its very sad that Nicki is on this thread. That ? is hot garbage

There wasn't anything complicated or extra lyrical about Dear Summer, but it was a nice beat and he rode it nicely. -
