Both from South Central LA. I first heard both of them in 2007 when Dom was dropping 25th Hour with the Watermelon Sundae single and Nipsey was coming with Bullets Ain't Got No Name. Both built their names up over the years to the point where I would say they started receiving national recognition around 2010-2011. Neither of them seemed to burst all the way on to the mainstream but still have a solid underground following. One makes gang banging motivational hustling ? while the other makes more laid back smooth player type ? .

Havent heard enough dom kennedy, but nip has gone downhill after marathon continues, i wasnt a fan of crenshaw or mailbox

Dom KennedyI was a big Dom fan but last tape I checked for was Yellow Album. It seems like right now Nip is making better music but I would say Dom's best projects >> Nipsey's best mostly probably based ok the production

I liked nip a lot, i thought he would have next, but coming off of marathon and marathon continues, those two releases didnt live up to expectations
