i guess if you grew up in a major city there may be no reason to leave.
but if a person born, lives and dies in Bumfuckville their whole life....is that a fail?

All subjective.

ive driven all over texas. (except west texas)
i always find it cool to drive through the small towns. like population 800.
its an eerie feeling. like you traveled through time. but i always wonder if these people ever go anywhere -
its a fail in my book. shows that you have no ambition to see the world or even to better yourself to move the ? out. shows that you have the same mentality of the ? still living there...and you gets no money.

your assumption is so wrong.
If a person is living a wonderful happy life ITO, why would it be a fail? -
Now ? never leaving the block is a fail, I swear it's some cats never been past downtown

You can only experience so much through books -

"Asked my guy how he thought travellin' the world sound
Found it hard to imagine he hadn't been past downtown"

Nah it's no where near a fail. Moving is an over rated experience not to mention pain in the ass and living in a major city is even more so. If you are surviving and are happy, it doesn't matter where you are. I'd still live in my home town if there was a market for my profession.

they can be happy..which is cool. i just feel that if u living in the same place you have certain views of things and those wont change until you leave. you can appreciate where you come from more and see things from the outside. -

why would I be mad about a thread b? -

I've lived in Hopkins/Columbia my whole life and it does get tedious at times. But at least I've done some traveling up and down the east coast and been out of the country. I can't imagine never seeing anything outside of your hometown.

Gotta disagree, still a heavy assumption. -

she talks pretty nuetral for a texan actually.
thats the funny thing about accents: i know folks that live in the same city and sound completely different -
it all depends on the person
I do know when I was younger and we moved from New Jersey to Baltimore I thought that was the worst ? ever
every summer I couldn't let it go and had to back to spend the whole summer there.
anyway as I get older I wouldn't mind moving around a lil bit and see the way people live/act in other places
some people wanna live in the house they grew up in some people wanna live around the world.....I'm somewhere in the middle -
