Because Ether created a moment for one of the biggest rap beefs of all time. The whole world was waiting on a NaS response after Takeover 5 months prior and boy did NaS deliver. It takes a special kind of tactician to wait so he can drop a scathing diss song on your birthday. Imagine Jay and the ROC poppin bottles on his bday cuz they think they won and then they turn on Hot 97. What's even more ? up is Christmas is like 3 weeks after Jay's birthday, he couldn't even enjoy xmas cuz he had to hear it everywhere.....
