Did you know there was a Free Black Women's library pop-up shop yesterday on the South Side?
Had no clue! My work hours leave me so out of the loop. Where was it?
It was at the university of chicago race and gender center.
This was their first one.
think they'll try to have one every month. -

Nah. any particular good shows?
And did you go to the "J-Dilla" tribute at the Promotory 2 weeks ago
Nah, but I've been to the Promontory for Party Noire. Best Black party in the city. Everybody's there--from hood dudes to ? kids.
Wasn't a huge J Dilla fan, tbh. No disrespect to his legacy. -

Anyone in chicago ever listened to AirGo radio?
They have a really dope segment about crime reporting and how it's not done by people with any real experience who don't have any ties to the community.
Chicago's crime rate is still vey high and blacks are fleeing chicago in large numbers due to it
Chicago crime actually reached a historical low in 2014.

blacks are leaving Chicago (and other cities) because of high crime, schools, COL, and job opportunities elsewhere
@AggyAF
This doesn't dispute my earlier claim. Also, there's a lot of love here that's actually in the neighborhoods. There's a lot of radical organizing in Chicago done by young Black kids here. BYP100, We Charge Genocide, Assata's Daughters, Circles and Ciphers, Black and Brown Rising, Seeds of Autonomy, the Let Us Breathe Collective, People's Art Collective, etc.
Because the capitalist city machine only gives a ? about tourism, gentrification, and selling images, they aren't going to put more resources back into the hood, and actively divest. -

People who don't live here or aren't involved in community organizing don't see people making radical change. -
Alright now you're gonna have to stop this, sir.
I'm in love with chilla, gns. And while that's a great song, I cannot accept your dedication.

And I expanded on why that might be.
However, there are radical groups in Chicago doing dope things, and I'd rather focus on that, tbh. -
