The thread title is actually partially accurate: at least some of these people are people whose poverty the apartheid system would have cushioned. They would not have fallen so low.
And the article fails to mention that many, many more blacks in South Africa live in similar poverty.
That said, I am not one to be indifferent to people's suffering. Or worse, to celebrate it. Or worse still, to celebrate it in the name of 'Black Excellence.' -
This ? is a representative sample of what occurs when the playing field is level. In other words, the cream rises to the top, and the entitled, non-resourceful are at their wits end, not withstanding gov't intervention.
This is why we are intrinsically attracted to sports. The football field, boxing ring, octagon, b-ball court, etc; Have minimal built in biases, (either you can perform, or you can't).
If real life reflected sports, our representation in management, ownership, and business, in all facets of society would accurately reflect our intellectual acumen, without all the "good ole boy" network systems white people formed to stymie our progress.
These squatters represent the chickens of South Africa's ? hands via British colonization......And those chickens are coming home to roost.
