See this has the potential to be amazing if done right and WITHOUT the Birdman meddling with it. Because Birdman is not going to show ANY vulnerabilities in his character and is going to completely downplay the ? he was responsible for.
SOC worked so well b/c it was as honest as it could be and even showed you sides to characters you didn't even know - and it also didn't have Suge meddling with or threatening directors to change ? . When he did try to meddle he got hemmed up.
SOC was dope but lets be real that ? had Dre looking like Super ? ...I ain't saying Dre is soft but it's a hard thing to believe he was out here swinging on ? in the studio -

they may have an empire but they are no nwa. this is going straight to dvd. add to the fact all the details baby will be omitting to have the movie shine a positive light on him and paint a pretty picture. they aren't the movie won't show all the shady contract deals and the long line of unused artist in the bushes. they wont have all the awkward moment like the 106 and park kiss and the co ed stage invites. he'll probably have Michael ealy playing the role of drake and kevin hart as lil wayne

I think they got bcotton to do that in the scene after wayne accidentally shoots himself.
bcotton is doin one of these on wayne
and does the dramatic "not today...." and it doesn't look like wayne's gonna make it so cotton does something risky and everyone else in the hospital is like "but it's dangerous!" and cotton turns to them with tears in his eyes and says "if wayne dies, I die!". saves him.
and the oscar goes to......bcotton!! -
