we let EVERYTHING go though...where does a line get drawn and a standard of any sort get set

The line should have STARTED with letting reparations go.. its been 150 years bruh.. and this country is not going to fold trying to keep a dream that was sold to people (all of which are dead now).. now anything that effects us now... yes fight for that.. but ? like that should be let go...

any one have any details of how Johnnie Cochran planned to go on his reparations crusade? He was on that when he passed

at the very least, a mass scale class action lawsuit against the federal government over forcefully and illegally acquired properties of ours should be considered...too many of us got them stories in our families

how does speaking on reparations and taking the reins of our existence conflict with each other? they go hand and hand, because ANY tangible response aint gonna come from a position of charity, but power

If people can't stand together to get this done, you can't possibly think we as individuals will elevate the standing of our race or pull together to do the little things in combination it will take to reverse the effects of slavery

There's no way to reverse what's been done or rebound w/o acknowledgment of what was done by the govt in some form of reparations...so if you've given up on the idea of that, you've given up on the idea of Black people in America. You're content to die just as your ancestors did, a slave

Question... would you willingly to go homeless because you told your neighbor "if the Cleveland Browns ever win a superbowl I will sell you my house"

This country is not going to fold because of a 150 year old promise..

Because it's a waste of time. That's why. If we build, we build from inside out, starting with our households, then moving education then to electing officials who genuinely have our best interests in mind and using our voting power to get em out of there if they not serious, then we can get it on the agenda because they respect our gangsta now. Hashtag movements and marches are only products of knee ? reactions with knee ? , microwave solutions. The world has become more sophisticated, and if there is good work to be done, it must be done standing on solid ground. They appease us with ? , and we wonder why we keep goin through the same ? , it's because our power is not what we think it is.

For instance...... Teen gets shot, hashtags, marches, jesse jackson or whoever the ? they sendin for a week...Then....Back to normal, rinse and repeat. We hold the solution, but it's time to think different to achieve it. We keep thinkin the same, we gon stay the same. ? been talkin about reparations since the 1800s bruh. The same dull convo, they don't respect us in Washington because we ain't earned it, and lost what little bit we had.

None of those demographics are over 10 percent of the total population of America either..

BTW if we DID get reparations wtf are most going to do with it... all of our problems are not going to miraculously over because we got something from the government...

i hear all of that, and at the same time i wasnt on that Internet jive

this discussion should NEVER leave the black conciousness regardless of our position...keep it in the air so our kids can have it on their mind. .imagine if malcom xs father wasnt a garveyite? at the very least, these can be seeds that grow into something larger....i dont see how reparations cannot be incorporated into the meat of what you said , we can watch roots and name our children english, french, etc surnames etc...jus straight up BASK in a pool of post slavery ooze, but the buck stops are reparations discussions? not feeling that..it aint a waste of time...it can simply be an extension of black history if we get our kids out of white institutions

Reparations in some ways imo would hurts us more as a people... none of the demographics that have gotten them truly NEEDED them.. imo you cant talk ? about the government and how we are treated by them yet basically want a handout from them as well..

Imo its like most act like the plight of the black community is based off the fact we havent got what we were promised..
