its ? up, but some ppl are so adjusted to being abused or taken advantage of mentally/physically, they normalize awful ? happening to them, and treat these events as conversation pieces as youre sitting there like, "are you okay?" they REALLY need care, and if youre of sound mind, you should back off until they know how to establish boundaries for themselves. it takes so much work before we truly value ourselves. ppl try to ? out self-love when they notice it.
