Got kicked outa school bout a year and a half ago. I was burned out and going just to go so my grades weren't ? . That time off was needed and showed me what wasted time can do to you. College isn't for everybody but you can't use that as an excuse to not get "educated" if you will.
Back in school now getting certified. I'm motivated now, study everyday, like going to class. Probly shoulda went this way right outa hs and been done with it, but ? it everybody got a path.

When my nephew came out 6 years ago. I'm Jamaican so my family was ready to disown him cause he's taking dizzle in his ? . My moms crying, my sister his dad telling him to turn back straight smh He was 15 at the time. I was the only one who sat him down and talked to him. I haven't said ? since then neither.

When I found out I couldn't do ? with a bachelors degree in liberal studies. Smh I was such a terible college student. All I could get was mail job that barely paid. I'm still at a firm doing mail but I'm back in school and hope to graduate in the next 3 years

Got kicked out the house the summer after my senior year in HS for wildn out, partying, drinking, smoking, ? . It was the typical im 18 and grown/get yo grown ass out situation

on a plane once an this african lady was asking people for their bread they was throwing away.....
looked crazy at first but we ended up talking an she was telling me she was on her way back home and wanted to take some bread because it was crazy how people was throwing away all this food and not thinking of people who wasnt eating....
an here i am mad because the batteries in my beat earphones died -
Reality hit me when I started grad school. It's a great experience, but man, it's depressing and expensive. And impostor syndrome is real, especially when you bump elbows with already-established professors and brilliant peers.
Reality hit me when I experienced a death in the family for the first few times, wasn't until I was in my late teens/early twenties. Not a good feeling. -

Lol. Reminds me when my immediate family was finally able to have my grandma, who comes from modest origins, fly to the U.S. to visit us, and we took her to her first all-you-can buffet restaurant. That day, hilarity ensued. -

I was surprised too but it is what it is, only looked through youtube as I made the post bc I havent seen it in over 10 yrs....reality set in when his wife and his gf kept calling our office asking for his personal effects. The company even deducted the cost of shipping his body back home to Texas out of his last paycheck....? was too crazy

That's how I was with school at first. If school was a relationship about 2 years ago then I would've switched the status to "it's complicated". I wasn't sincere for my grades. I had no blueprint. Then I started to look at my surroundings & the future. So I started removing myself from my old environment, getting around people who are like minded & doing things that will add value to me. Now my vision is clear & now I'm married to school & faithful to it until I graduate -
I'm going to be real as I can right now.
I was messing with this chick, I was about 21-22. I was at work (midnight shift) ol girl called me up on my break hour like "Babe guess what? Im getting married!!"
She was so excited and giddy but my head was all ? up. I thought I was her one and only. ? that ? ? my whole month up.
It took hours for that ? to really sink in. I had to work another 4 hours too so I was on the production line ? up. So if you drive a GM car made in like 2006, I probably ? your visor all the way up...my bad.
Anyway, the ? told me "if you really loved me you'd be happy for me." ? I was on a rampage. I coulda killed that ? and called the Ghostbusters on her spirit.
Thats time #1 when ? got real for me.
Time #2
I was at work (same place) the owner walked in and I was excited as ? because it was a black man. I had no idea a black dude owned that plant.
It was time to discuss raises because the union contract was up. He called a team meeting and straight up told us "I'm not giving no raises. A monkey can do what y'all do. I'll just move the plant to Mexico"
? ...i never wanted to hit an old man more than I wanted to hit that dude. That ? taught me all I needed to know about life.
So if you driving a GM car made in 2008...your visors are probably ? up too....my bad.
Those are the two experiences taught me A LOT.
