Recession comes after TM101 as the BEST albums in Jeezy's catalogue. Both albums defined that year and years to come....they are classics and I hope Jeezy does an 10 yr anniversary for Recession like he did TM 101

On the contrary just because you show growth doesn't mean the quality of your material increased either. It doesn't necessarily go hand in hand. -

Five star general, O.G. veteran -
Hard to say which is the better ATL album, production is all over the place on both albums. Paper trail was a step back in the right direction for tip and What Up Whats Happenin was one of my favorite songs of that year. Overall it had good singles where tip reached out into the industry and collabed with some big artists that give the album a bit of a commercial feel. Recession was a rawer hood record. Both are worthy listens at the end of the day.
