Holder claimed that Cortes tried to force her into oral sex in his office in February 2015. Holder didn’t tell the company about it right away, fearing that it would negatively impact her career. She ultimately came forward last fall, and Cortes was reportedly terminated at that time.
In a joint statement from Holder and Fox News, they said, “Immediately after Ms. Holder notified Fox News of the alleged incident, the company promptly investigated the matter and took decisive action, for which Ms. Holder thanks the network.” Holder left Fox after her contract expired on January 1. The joint statement said, “Fox News is grateful to Ms. Holder for her many contributions during her tenure at the network and wishes her continued success.”
Cortes’ attorney, Jay Sanchez, told the Times, “I am presently considering Mr. Cortes’ legal options.” -

When i read this and saw the settlement amount, i couldnt help but think, later in life, odds are shes gunna tell people she became a millionaire through her own hard work and no one helped her. I think this because, this is pretty much the American way now it seems. Muddy the truth as much to make it seem like you're the triumphant hero who rose up and overcame great obstacles in life.
This popped into my head because i was listening to the RaceWars podcast the other day and Rachel Uchitel was on. A guy didnt know who she was and asked what she does. She goes on to tell him shes a fashion designer or some ? and how she opened up her store in NYC. I wasnt even really paying attention till she goes on how she did it on her own with her money and no one helped her, which is funny because she said it like she didnt get millions from tiger woods to keep from exposing the texts she kept from him when she was his side chick.
