This what got me...lyrically it can not come close to Cilvia...
It's like...he realised that he's finally on and got lazy/complacent.
But I'm not dissing what he did...I've heard some gems in this...but that hunger is gone.
Not disappointed.
But if I had to describe it, I'd say is a Currensy wanna be mixtape. -
Yea it does sound like a Currensy album.
-
Whole album smooth asf
-
It's smooth af but the mumble rap man smh. Leave that to the ? like future(no hate on hendrix). I'll listen again but it's not better than cilvia from a lyrical perspective AT ALL.... and it could've been too because it rides!

I agree ... it's weird, but I actually like "The Sun's Tirade" better because it sounds better. But his lyrics/flow was better on Clivia. I wasn't expecting a lot because it was not a Kendrick, Jay Rock or Ab-Soul project. He's not on that level lyrically, but The Sun was better than a lot of stuff that came out in 2016, in my opinion. This is why TDE is my favorite group of artists right now.

I thought the same thing about Cilvia demo too. I always thought he sounded like a mix of Kendrick & Spitta
-
Streamed on Spotify today
Loved the production on the project
But dude sounds like he just woke up, faced a blunt, & shot heroin on almost every track.
Mumble rappin alot.
Ill give it a few more streams before final verdict -
I think he's doing that cuz the context of the album. This album is about him being on xanex and being a alcoholic. Similar to how k dot rapped on mad city. At least that's how I take it. And q does the interludes cuz that's when zay started doing it heavy, around the time of the oxymoron tour.

Yea he was talking about pills a lot on this album. Like alot.
Subject matter wise the project was kinda a letdown -

It's also kind of funny when people find "mumble raps" acceptable and when they don't.
