I remember being young and had just moved to Texas (for a year) from FL and Miami (the old UM) rolled into Dallas and f*cked up Texas in the Cotton Bowl like 45-3. My cousins were all Canes and went to that game.
Texas fans had their mouths wide open all game. They had never been dogged out like that on the field and danced on at the same time like that. Miami had like 200 yards of penalties. Most were unsportsmanlike calls and still dominated. Sh*t was hilarious. That was the game Randall Hill ran out of the stadium.
Years later, I remember Ken Dorsey (the new UM) being asked about "Catholics vs Convicts" around and he said "we like to think of ourselves as the catholics now" or something like that. Many of the old canes were not feeling that comment.

I dont want to act like some insider or anything like that but that was the rumor this weekend and I work with a couple Texas alumi that are pretty plugged in and they were telling me the same thing today......they arent on Red McCombs status or anything like that but they've proven to be credible on more than one occasion.
Who knows though until something official is announced -

If it's what I read yesterday they have only said it's "more than likely." I think he has to beat 2 out of OU, Baylor, TCU to keep his job so it probably won't happen.
UT has only said they won't make a move midseason, which to me comes off as them sending a smoke signal to Tom Herman. -
Texas know that it will be a bidding war for Tom Herman. LSU can't get into a bidding war with Texas. They just hope Tom doesn't want to coach at Texas.

If it's what I read yesterday they have only said it's "more than likely." I think he has to beat 2 out of OU, Baylor, TCU to keep his job so it probably won't happen.

My only thing is I dont want to get into a situation where he gets a couple of big wins to get the monkey off his back only for everything to revert back to ? next season, I dont want to be stuck in that cycle...I need to see some obvious improvement in a few areas (defense and game management most importantly) for me to really be convinced that keeping him on board after this season is the right move -

But you said he had "a bunch of ? seasons" which isn't true considering he went 8-5 his last season...Strong can't even sniff 8 wins. -

I consider 8-5 a kinda ? season

University of Florida is like no dice on moving the game. WE will play that mfer in boats if we have to.
It is expected that LSU may have to arrive early and ride out the rain. Or arrive the day of. Friday may be a no go for any travel. -
