BIRTH OF A NATION MADE 7 F@CKIN MILLION DOLLARS THIS WEEKEND!

THE BUTLER, 12 YEARS A SLAVE, AND ANY OF OTHER BLACK FILM WHERE BLACKS ARE OPPRESSED, WE WILL GO AND SUPPORT IT, BUT WHEN THE TABLES TURN, ? ALLLLL OF A SUDDEN DONT WANNA SEE THE ? !

    Yeah I've been reading that people don't want to support a ? blah blah. Funny thing is if we knew about everybody's pasts there would be a lot of ? that we wouldn't be supporting right now. I bet if Nate Parker made another one of them every couple year slave movies, or another one of those rich white people who loves their poor black butler/maid stories that movie would've went on without a hitch. Madea finna make a killing though for real smh.

    I already said this another thread....but im too faint hearted to see the graphic nature of slavery. Haven't seen 12 years or them other recent movies for that reason. I'm glad nat turner story is out there tho cuz it deserves to be told, which is why I supported it by spending money on it.

    How about black people make a real-life movie where we're kings, queens, pharaohs, war generals, inventors, billionaires, masterminds etc.

    I wouldnt doubt that theres an observable amount, but theres not a lot of people in the entire state period, let alone the thimble full amount of black folks in des moines

The film release was expanded to over 1,100 locations on November 8, 2013.[3][75] In 2014, 12 Years a Slave was the 10th most-illegally downloaded movie, with 23.653 million such downloads, according to Variety.[76]


    Birth of a Nation on the other hand was in over 2000 theaters this weekend.
