Great rapper and maker of dope beats, R.I.P I heard that his death is surrounded with conspiracy tho, wouldn't be the first time a famous rapper was murdered for speaking the TRUTH!

He was the best at doing it. -
Peace Be Upon Him. I wanted to be like ? C so bad in high school lol. He and DJ Screw makes me so proud to be and fortunate to be from Texas. We can talk about top 5s, GOATS and all that ? but at end of day ? C is a rappers rapper. Texas is huge. Yall underestimate how different our regions our. Prior to 1990 alot of Texans didnt identify with the car, hustling, gang, music culture that was being born in houston/east texas. Dallas and San Antonio were the only 2 other "big" cities then and west coast influenced then. ? C was first texas ? we seen wear polo, starchy jeans, piece and chain, big lac proud to talk country, proud to little Port Arthur on map. ? loved ? C immediately because he always rapped about something you could identify with even if you wasnt pimpin or selling dope. Like sanford pointed out He spit inspirational lines that made you want to go get some ? money and his conviction was so honest and down home you felt like it was a big homie or uncle giving you game. When he did talk about the pimpin and dope he did it way more cooler and covered all aspects of dope game. All these kingpins now talk about how super rich and untouchable they are. ? C was giving us game about how the judicial system will eat you alive, jackers will ? you and ? will set you up daily. His organs and drum kicks are legendary and sound so good in a car. He made so many classic tracks and classic features. He is beyond a legend he is historical.

Hip hop misses his talent, and his voice. I used to hop in the car and let this ride on repeat when I had ? on my mind. By the time I got home, I had hella problems solved. ? say they miss people in hip hop, but I miss ? like I lost a homie.

And an underrated producer at that. Krit is the closest thing we have to his sound to my knowledge. Nobody made country beats like him.
That ? drop that ? and them guitar licks on you, it was a wrap. -
Was bangin this and saw RIP MR 3-2 in the comments.... Lawd. I ain't even know, that dude's voice was all over a bunch of texas classics in the 90s. Damn what a day.

Can't remember a bad verse from him. My favorite artist, and probably the only artist that I have to listen to atleast once a week. My favorite song and verse of his comes from his sweet James Jones stories album, I'm a hustla.

Told you before I'm a country star
In a country car
Got a country ass ? , sip country barre
Got a country son, got a country chain
Coming down in the car, and gripping country grain
Sweet Jones ? , ? (peeeimp) knahmtalkinbout?
Go out and get that ?
I'm talking 'bout doing a million records independently sold, on your ? ass
So when you see me in the city recognize I'm already paid
When you see me chopping on blades, don't rob us ?
Not them phony-ass blades with no knockers on 'em
Representing that south, P.A. to be exact
And ain't no gang in P.A ? -ass ?
Ain't no blood and no Crip, ? -ass ? I'm Texas
I told ya, ?
RIP Sweet Jones -

When ? from other regions talk about a southern sound, I will always associate the beats UGK, No Limit, Cash Money, Suave House, Outkast, Goodie Mob, and the 36 Mafia rapped over as being the southern sound. I understand there's a ton of southern sounds, but the sound those artists used really personified the south to me.

The ? is an obvious influence to Krit. Just wish he got to make music with him while he was alive. The both of them would've made great music together.
