The only 80's rappers that I know of are Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, N.W.A, Run DMC, Beastie Boys and maybe afew others mostly by song and not artist tho, oh and LL and KRS (duh) so I thought to myself why not ask the community? I am asking all the 80's heads to bless us and give us some education on the history of Hip Hop, is there any hidden gems you can bless us with? any tracks that would rock an 80's hip hop club? was it mostly about the DJ'S back then?

Here's an unreleased Treacherous 3 track. Its an alternate version of Put The Boogie In Your Body. They replayed Flashlight by Parliament. Its better than the version that eventually got released imo.

I had a quick skim through Kool Moe's first 2 albums last night and it sounded like something I am gonna like, something about his style I really like, it's crazy how as I get older I am learning to appreciate 80's Hip Hop more.

I think Knowledge is King is a pretty decent Kool Moe Dee album. He also wrote a book where he rated a bunch of rappers. -
UTFO was dope too.

Same here for the same reasons but as I got older I could appreciate his style more. It's just very barebones and sounded mad outdated by the time those other guys came out. -
