I love this ? the more I hear it. Kept stopping what I was doing at work earlier just to start it over. -
Its aight. Played it a few times, I liked it. But nothing I would be bumping again outside of Redbone

@LcnsdbyROYALTY did u read the album notes after u copped the physical?
Was wondering if he produced the album himself like he does with his other projects -

Yea I read em. The only production credit he has is executive producer. Ludwig (whatever tha ? his name is) produced the album in its entirety. Although Bino does have credits playing various instruments.
Oh and count Bino as another one that owns his copyrights. I'm loving seeing our artists finally owning their work. -
Terrified so hard mane

It has nothing to do with being woke, my g. Lol. It's a funk album. It's not Prince, D'Angelo, Bootsy Collins, but it's inspired by those people and it's refreshing to see an artist draw from the well of originality, and do it some justice every once in awhile.
It's cool if it ain't for you, but you misused the whole "woke" sentiment.

This ludwig dude gets nowhere near the credit he deserves, i think he's responsible for virtually all gambinos beats over his projects, and when you consider the amount of times he's changed his soundscape thats some adaptability and variation you have to admire as far as a producer goes.
Dude is to gambino what 40 is to drake, even though drizzy will branch out, bino has always kept in house. -
'me and your mama' VR video from the PHAROS show he put on earlier this year.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coWcTgU5PZ4
you can use the video with a headset or just use your mouse to get a 360 view.
Not sure why he's dressed as Tatanka though. -

^^^^^^listens to Adele he has the soul of a white woman named Kathy -
He should sample his own funk soul album and make a Hip Hop one. Would be a first I think

Same ? people say about Kendrick and Cole smh -
Man I tried to like this album I really did but if the first few tracks dont catch me im out. I like how hebrought the funkadelic sound back on most of the album but the hollering and screaming on some songs plus the unorganized tracks didnt move me in anyway.
2/5 -
"We need soul and funk and jazz back in music"
If only Kendrick Lamar's TPAB got this kinda appreciation after his attempt to revive it in hip hop... -
