I feel you on keeping it affordable. Nothing worse than balling out at Christmas just to struggle to catch up in January.

I'm thinking about getting him a couple model planes to add to his collection. He enjoys putting them together. That and a bunch of little ? to add to his stocking.

Is life at your age everything you thought it'd be?

hmmm good question. I can say the world is nothing like I thought it would be 30 years ago. I thought that when 2000 hit we would be living like the Jetsons. I would say I am disappointed by that. On a personal level though I would say life has exceeded my expectations. I have experienced more joy than pain. I have regrets but I have learned to live with those. Being a husband and father are the best things ever imo.

overall I am just enjoying my time here. I realize im closer to the end than I am to the beginning. I got a few things left that I want to accomplish and then I will just cool out until my time is up. the wife and agreed we will pick back up on the Christmas thing when we have grandkids. that will be a whole new type of fun. We get to buy them a whole bunch of ? and then look at our kids like y'all better take all of that ? with u lol.
