The 2017 Golden Globe nominations were released this week and absent was 50 Cent’s Starz hit Power. The rapper was feeling frustrated with the slight, turning to Instagram to voice his displeasure with the nominations, saying that Floyd Mayweather will be replacing him.

“I accept my series POWER was not intended to be a signature show for the network but it is the highest rated show. I know my audience very well, I’m done promoting this out side of contractual obligations,” 50 wrote. In July, Power was renewed for two additional seasons, thanks in part to the 3.37 million viewers who tuned in for the season three premiere, making it the most-watched episode in network history. That milestone should, as 50 sees it, translate to more recognition, though the drama categories, as seen below, are chock full of prestige dramas and powerful performances.

Shortly after posting the above photo to IG, 50 said this of Floyd Mayweather taking his place, “I’m off the POWER train, champ is gonna do the show. Go to him for more info, I gotta do something different.”

A spokesperson for Starz spoke to Variety about the snub, saying, “We are grateful for the excellent work being done on Power by the producers, cast and crew. We certainly think this exceptional show has been overlooked by various awards committees, but the fans have made it the second most watched show on premium cable in 2016…and those are accolades that mean just as much if not more.”
