Was this really a thing?
Was it a short fad for cats to pretend to be Jamaican, or at least have a Jamaican accent as a gimmick?
I sometimes hear about this, but don't really remember it since I was young back then.
I thought about this, because I ? up inside whenever a rapper known as the Jamaican spit on these tracks.

That sh*t was corny af to me, even back then. Anyone remember that brother Malik Yoba with that Jafaiken accent. For some reason yankies always think yardies say "mon" after every sentence. Wasn't even just yankies biting. It was brothers from other islands as well like that n*gga Prince Ital Joe that rapped with Marky Mark (before he reinvented himself as the actor). He was actually not Jamaican. Used to spit with Pac too if I'm not mistaken.
