The Argentine is training again with his boyhood club Estudiantes after promising to return for the 2017 Copa Libertadores if fans bought 65 per cent of boxes at the club's new stadium.
After bringing down the curtain on his playing career in 2014 after spells with United, Lazio, Chelsea and Inter, Veron, who is president of the La Plata club, trained on Wednesday ahead of his comeback.
After taking part in his own personal training programme, Veron played under the watchful eye of manager and former Arsenal defender Nelson Vivas.
Estudiants defender Julian Marchioni was impressed by the playmaker's showing and said: 'Veron is the same as always, he didn't misplace a pass. It's something incredible.'
The ex-Argentina international, who turns 42 in March, will play in a friendly game before playing competitively in the Copa Libertadores.

He's Back
Former Manchester United midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has put his boots back on at the age of 41, to sign for boyhood club Estudiantes.
Two years after announcing his retirement, the Argentina legend has put pen to paper on an 18-month deal, and will donate all his wages to the development of the club.

I recognize his place in city's history.. he would not be loaned out and still be here if he didn't get fat and lazy. No need for sane and maybe sterling if nasri was playing up to par. -

Two equally balanced teams - it's really anyone's game; sure - I am in.
Wait, is @Valentinez A. Kaiser a Pool fan? -
The Ox to Liverpool??? Would be a great signing, Arsene is a fool for not playing him more...

He's had more than enough chances he's been lucky to not be on loan. Campbell was the better player last year this year iwobi has taken his place -

What happened to Campbell again, was he sold? and yeah Iwobi's the new Campbell for Arsenal this season, although I'd argue he's even better considering he's pretty much treated like a started by Wenger -
