Sat down and listened. Tremendous work.
I like the other albums more but K Dot has no misses thus far. -
As if his flow, story telling ability, word play, delivery, beat selection wasn't good enough, he also gives you rich subject matter, charisma, authenticity, deep thought, introspection and creativity.
This is a brilliant album and I think it will take a long time to fully appreciate!
K-Dot take your victory lap.

So on another listen I'm picking up hidden gems... this is the last verse of FEAR.I'm talkin' fear, fear of losin' creativity
I'm talkin' fear, fear of missin' out on you and me
I'm talkin' fear, fear of losin' loyalty from pride
'Cause my DNA won't let me involve in the light of ?
I'm talkin' fear, fear that my humbleness is gone
I'm talkin' fear, fear that love ain't livin' here no more
I'm talkin' fear, fear that it's wickedness or weakness
Fear, whatever it is, both is distinctive
Fear, what happens on Earth stays on Earth
And I can't take these feelings with me
So hopefully they disperse
Within fourteen tracks, carried out over wax
Searchin' for resolutions until somebody get back
Fear, what happens on Earth stays on Earth
And I can't take these feelings with me
So hopefully they disperse
Within fourteen tracks, carried out over wax
Wonderin' if I'm livin' through fear or livin' through rap -
9th Wonder's production on DUCCWORTH. make me wanna dig out The Minstrel Show... from my CD collection. Took me back

I caught that
the last line coincides with what was said here about playing it one way is him living thru rap, and backwards is him living thru fear, or the other way around
I really like how he basically broke down the common fears of your average (american) black man at three very pivotal ages, all 10 years apart
even if you didnt grow up the same or you're not living the same now, you cant NOT relate to a part of that -

Yall can be sheep to that interscope machine but like I said earlier.. I can't get jiggy with this ? ..
This almost as bad as when Beta said Louis CK's Netfix special was better than both Chappelle Netflix specials
But the chapelle ? was trash if we being honest

The hate Kendrick receives sometime reminds me of 2Pac when he dropped "Me against ...," "All Eyez..." and "Makaveli." Dope projects and the majority of people liked them. But there was always a few people who couldn't give props and called everyone stupid for listening to it or said it was not real Hip-Hop. Instead, their idea of the real ? was some other dude that struggled to hit gold or some underground rapper
But years later, they're giving Pac props on Facebook. LOL!
Makes no sense at all Kendrick gets Hella praise for his music.. they praise him for being different in the Era of rap
I didn't say Kendrick was not receiving a lot of praise. Just pointing out that he got a lot of haters who always have something negative to say, although his music is dope.
There no middle ground here if you like it your a sheep if you dislike it your hating

Shocked that Element. is the third highest charting song off the album. I want that to be the next single/video.

I'm kinda surprised Humble is the #1 single. Ive heard this album being played a lot when I'm out but never heard that song anywhere
-
How the ? is a skit charting higher than the best song on the album?

Love it..its short, witty and just a catchy tune
And the lyrics just speak to certain people I view with disdain especially some women in this modern era -
This album is a major improvement from how to ? a butterfly.

Agree. But neither is a classic nor are they touching GKMC.
This is a GOOD album. But the fact that people are seriously considering K-Dot Top 5 is ridiculous at this point in time. -
