This is Wale's worst album. I'll always be a fan. I remember them undergrad college days bumpin his mixtapes, attention deficit & ambition.....
But he's been steady droppin duds for a while now. Wasted potential. He'll never figure it out. -

@KamPushMe & @infamous114 ... Those are your opinions which are WRONG...but this is the Facts... Wale's "Thank ? "use the sample from 2Pac 's "In the Late Night" they both got it from Donald Byrd

? , I like it *shrugs*...probably won't be in rotation too long but it'll serve its purpose for the early summer
Had to go back and listen to Pac's in the late night after hearing that intro tho -

Btw, "Definition of a Thug ? " has the same Donald Byrd sample....idiot. -
Disappointing ? album smh.

Wale gotta switch it up at this point in his career
He should leave MMG and get on his indie grind for a couple years like currensy did. -
After further review....
This ain't it

Bonus track from the album called "Shine Season"

What makes you say that
Wale is in the same place Big Sean was before DSP and J.Cole before FHD. Like my brother in gods @IceBergTaylor said, it really is make or break for Wale. As much as I rip on Wale he is super talented and has the potential but I always felt his music structure was unorganized. Big Sean was determined to get over the loss of his girlfriend and grandmother, J.Cole wanted to speak for a time and generation that was reeling from social issues and growing pains. Wale needs an approach/direction IMO.
I want to see him win and that's rich coming from me. I always felt he should leave MMG they just don't have the machine to push his music to platinum status like that but maybe he'll prove me wrong.
This ? is on point. As an artist idk who wale is...which is critical for a listener. I liked that Gifted Album, but even that ? was all over the place -
WALE + MMG = Steady decline to garbage. What made Wale such a good artist in his early career was that he wasn't formulaic in his lyrical content or song structures. This album had some flashes of greatness but it is mightily inconsistent.
-
Crazy that this album is getting the most praise I've seen from a wale album
-
It has nothing to do with the label, folks been tryna blame mmg for wale missteps for 6 years. Wale just dropped sum ? . He was not going platinum regardless unless something took off like that way or lotus flower bomb
-
He was obnoxious as hell in that bc interview too, I agree he needs someone to sit him down n chastise him, but he may not give a damn long as he happy
-
I knew since this thread only had 69 new since the last time I stumbled in here that it wasn't good lol
Wale about to slide into tier 3 as an artist
Kevin Durant said to listen to this ? and judging from what y'all saying, he being a homer -

Dude said in the BC interview he's still paying for the mishaps from other projects a real manager should have taken care of. He's not even 100% sure of his situation in terms of mgmt. It's Ross's job as a CEO to make sure Wale is taken care of in this regard.
His peers are dropping albums with no major singles and going platinum and Gold. Ross doesn't have the machine behind him like that. Dude even Fabolous is cranking out gold singles, you're telling me Rocnation, TDE, Defjam, couldn't push Wale platinum in 2017-2018 ? Even Future, Travis Scott and Rae Shremmurd went gold and platinum respectively. Wale needs mgmt that's business oriented and also willing to push artists creatively, Ross don't got that.
Ross last album did twice as good first week as the one b4 it with no single, mmg is fine, atlantic may b a different story, wale's management n mmg are 2 different entities, wale has his Management b4 Ross was even involved, roc nation, tde wouldn't make running back or fashion week pop,
and def jam? Allow me to quote u my guy
"Lololololololololololololololol"
A label head never had anything to do with management b4, y all of a sudden is it Ross fault, for all we know he prolly told wale to get that ? str8 lol -
Future, Travis Scott n Rae Sremmurd came with hits, wale has not, and at This point not even good songs period
Let's not act like Ross was no good for him, what did wale 1st album do compared to the next 3
