    This can't be a serious discussion. Dre has classic verses to classic songs ghostwritten or not. Why even analyze it more than that. He's beyond petty arguments of "better rappers". He's an important music giant, period.

    This by no means is a excuse to argue he's a great lyricist. He didn't write his own ? so he's not in the running. I'm just saying Dre shouldn't be mentioned.

    I am not takin anything from Dre. I am biggin him up with this thread. He got an amazing catalog. He only lacks on writin.

    How is that petty? Not putting him as a goat writer/rapper for not writing his raps sounds pretty legitimate to me.

    If he really did write his rhymes he'd be known for some hot songs & two classics. That along with NWA.. It would definitely add on to an already legendary career.

    I didn't mean it like that. Of course not having him as a goat writer is legit. I just mean it goes without saying. Dre shouldn't be in those discussions at all.
