Az has always lived in Nas shadow. An amazing mc in his own right, he never got the true shine he deserved. Much like AZ, Jay-Z come in the game as Jaz-o little homie and did time making features before his debut. And even then he was overshadowed by Big. But after Big death and a few great albums and the power of suggestion, Jay took over the game. But in 2001 and 2002 both mcs dropped critically acclaimed albums. Both had similar vibes. Overall I think AZ is super underrated. This poll was created to see after 15 years later how do Aziatic measures up to the Blueprint

BlueprintIf we being realistic, but this is the reason though so the poll should have AZ in a landslide...

Sugarhill, Problems, but you got a point. But then again hits are made by the radio and djs. If your song gets no play, then it probably won't chart. And we all know about payola. Alot of trash are hits. Records have to be worked. It took Young MA a year to make ohhh a hit. -

What did the Blueprint have over Aziatic? -
AziaticAz is a real mc

BlueprintAziatic is a cool album, but c'mon.
The only album AZ has that can compete with Blueprint is Doe or Die. And, to AZs credit, it might actually be better. -
Aziaticeehhh what do hip hop fans know

I don't necessary agree, but I see what you are saying. Both those albums had 2 songs on it that wasn't level 10 type songs. People hated on Vol 1 because it wasn't as good as Reasonable Doubt. But on its on merit, Vol 1 is more lyrical than Blueprint and is a great album. If it came out 5 albums later we might all be calling it a classic. Side by side to BP, they are close in quality. Aziatic is a classic because every song on it is amazing and on level 10. There are no misstep on it. -

I ask again but I'm no one will answer. What does Blueprint have over Aziatic? It's such a classic it shouldn't be hard to answer. -

That's subjective. I can still play Aziatic today. To be honest I haven't played either album in over 5 years. Certain albums to get old quick. But I don't feel either album fits that category. -

BlueprintI'm from Queens, supported Ether, and couldn't stand Jay at that time, but still knew that was a good ass album.

Aziatic
And your opinion is 98.9 percent of the time is asinine.I'm from Queens, supported Ether, and couldn't stand Jay at that time, but still knew that was a good ass album.
Never said it wasn't a good, great or even classic album. I'm just comparing it to Aziatic. -
BlueprintAziatic had less songs and more skippables. Take It Off and Take Care of Me were terrible. Outside of Hands In The Air, every other song was good. Blueprint's only knocks are Jigga That ? & Hola Hovito and both of those songs are still good for the most part. Easy choice for me.
