That song is cool and has a lot of bass. But its a sample from Mr Loverman by Shabba Ranks. Sounds like they turned the bass up.

Magic Mike CDs were essential, if you had big speakers, back around '90.

Yeah, I grew up in Massachusetts so bass music wasn't really that popular. It wasn't until I got older that I got a system with sub woofers. Then I felt like I missed out on a lot of good music. I started noticing that a lot of songs that I liked as a kid either had sub-bass that I didn't know about, or didn't have any sub-bass at all.
Now that I'm older I definitely prefer sub-bass to no sub-bass.

The mid 80's was the era for big bass in songs, especially down south

Thats one of those songs I was talking about. I remember I had the album when it was out, but I didn't have a proper system to appreciate the bass. I'm just hearing it on a 2.1 system for the first time. And to think, I had the album back in 1986! -
Bonecrusher - "Neva Scared" is another one.

So many bass tracks from back in them days. I think one of the things I miss the most about working in car audio is showing off the finished product with tracks like these.

one of my crew had this tape back inna day. In '93 he was rollin an '89 LeSabre. I built an enclosure for his 12" Pyle's and threw his Pioneer GM3000 amp on 'em (bridged to 2 channel mode). That Nemesis tape had them woofers BANGIN. -
