Gotta disagree with the first part. The beats on this album were more challenging and for him to find those pockets was nothing short of impressive.
Lyrically it's on par with ? but sonically this blows all of his projects out of the water. It's ? on steroids. -
Danny browns albums thus far have been groundbreaking. Unique. Trend-setting (alas be it a trend that cannot be emulated).
im finding it hard to think of an artist that has released as many albums as him and managed to bring a brand new sound each time. I mean "The Hybrid", "? ", "Old", "Atrocity Exhibition"
and they all been great ....nay....amazing (not so much the second half of old tho)
DOOM
Busta Rhymes
Kendrick (to a degree)

If you listen to the underground much there's always much more diversity in an artists creative progression, i think dannys sick, but not particulary ground breaking, detroit production doesn't really have many boundaries and he's fully embraced that.

Its good to see people enjoy albums of not so popular rap artists. Hip hop is doing ok in 2016

He did.
But that's not just any tune. It's one of the best songs from one of the best albums of the 20th century. -
So... this sucked...

This album deserves more love on here.
