WH Officials Defend Trump’s ‘Funny’ CNN-Wrestling Tweet: Media Can’t ‘Take a Joke’

White House officials are reportedly saying that President Trump‘s tweeted CNN takedown is both highly entertaining and quite justified.

As Trump continues to take flak for his latest jab against his least favorite network, The Daily Beast reached out to the White House to get a reaction from the president’s latest remarks. Three officials spoke on the condition of anonymity, and here’s what they had to say about the tweet:

“I thought it was funny,” one White House official said. “Glad [Dan] Scavino and the president did that.”

“The president fights back,” another senior Trump aide added. “It’s rich that some of you people [in the media] can never take a joke.”

“Pure Trump,” another official tersely messaged.

No, Venezuela is what a dictatorship looks like. Invest in the markets, and leave "the World is ending" talk for latte sipping white folk. No reason to give any ? about these parties. Just watch where the wind is blowing, the industries that will profit, and make a killing.

Their conservative/white supremacist voting base could care less
as long as Republicans are proposing or passing laws/polices that (seemly) only targets and hurts the black community,Hispanics,Muslims etc....

By the time they realize THEY are getting ? also, it'll be too late

Trump is preparing a list of deliverables for Putin

Donald Trump is considering offering Russian President Vladimir Putin concessions, and we have no idea what Trump is getting in return.

The Guardian reports that the White House asked its National Security Council staff to come up with a list of “deliverables” Trump can offer Putin during their first in-person meeting at the G20 summit in Germany next month.

For those unfamiliar with the term “deliverables,” it is most commonly used to mean what one promises to “deliver” a paying client as part of an business agreement.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has already warned “master of the deal” Trump that “Putin also knows how to negotiate, and does it always in the interest of Russia.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s own advisers are voicing opposition to any plans for unilateral concessions from the United States. Security experts within the Trump administration previously pushed back against Trump’s desire for a formal state meeting solely between Trump and the Russian leader.

One possible “deliverable” under consideration is returning the two compounds — one in Maryland and one in New York — formerly used by the Russian government. The compounds were seized by the U.S. government as part of sanctions in response to Russian active measures during the 2016 presidential campaign and other acts of Russian aggression.

The properties had long been used for espionage by Russian officials, and the Trump administration began floating the idea of returning them to Russian control in May. The Kremlin threatened “retaliatory measures” agains the U.S. for the seizure of the compounds earlier this week.

In the Trump’s book “The Art of the Deal,” he proclaimed one of his mottos to be, “You do your thing, you hold your ground, you stand up tall, and whatever happens, happens.”

The latest reports, however, suggest Trump is not interested in holding his ground, on behalf of the American people, when it comes to Russia.

China, Russia share opposition to U.S. THAAD in South Korea: Xi

    Reuters • 1 hour 50 minutes ago

BEIJING (Reuters) - Chinese President Xi Jinping set off on a visit to Russia on Monday stressing the grave threat a U.S. anti-missile system in South Korea poses to both Chinese and Russian interests.

China has repeatedly stated its opposition to the U.S. Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-missile system and has called for its deployment to stopped, and the missiles already installed to be removed.

China says the system's powerful radar can probe deep into its territory, undermining its security and a regional balance while doing nothing to stop North Korea in its relentless pursuit of nuclear weapons and the missiles to deliver them.

"The U.S. deployment of an advanced anti-missile system in South Korea gravely harms the strategic security interests of China, Russia and other countries in the region," China's state Xinhua news agency cited Xi as saying.

The United States and South Korea say the THAAD is solely aimed at defending the South from North Korea.

China and Russia have maintained close communication and coordination on the issue and held very similar views on it, Xi said in an interview with Russian media.

"Beijing and Moscow are steadfastly opposed to the THAAD deployment and seriously suggest that relevant countries stop and cancel the installation," Xinhua cited xi as saying.

China and Russia would take "necessary measures", either together or independently, to protect their interests, Xi said, without elaborating, according to Xinhua.

Xi also said China and Russia should work together to boost trade and increase investment and financial cooperation, Xinhua reported.

Xi will arrive in Moscow for a state visit on Monday before traveling to Germany to attend a G20 summit.

Relations between China and South Korea have been strained by the THAAD deployment though both sides have struck a more conciliatory tone since President Moon Jae-in took office in South Korea May.

Do you think we have 8 years left with our president acting like he is?

Thats just the thing the political analysis is garbage.. they voted for the lowest of the low.. democrats didnt lose because he was a better candidate they lost because he was the antithesis of obama and any forward moving multicultural movement..

    And thats what people wanted.

"But they don't pay attention to "real Americans'" all these swing states have "real Americans" all politicians do is keep them in minds eye.. cater to them while they other.... everyone else.. as if their values are more valuable as if their values are more worthy... hell if their "values" are any more different than the next man.. aside from that guns and religion ?

but we will continue to be disingenuous about whats what.

Conway: We’ll Pass Obamacare Repeal ‘This Summer,’ But ‘Replace’ Can Wait

White House aide Kellyanne Conway said Monday that Republicans could repeal Obamacare without also replacing it, which would violate Trump’s prior pledge to do both at once.

“Very hopeful, very confident that the President can have the bill on his desk this summer,” Conway told “Fox & Friends.”

“In terms of the procedure,” she added later, “it could either be repealed and replaced at same time, or you could do what happened in the 2015 Senate bill, where every Republican senator who was there except for one voted, and they voted to immediately do away with the penalties and taxes under Obamacare, they dealt with Medicaid as well.”

“The only thing that’s changed since their vote in 2015 to repeal Obamacare and now is that you have a Republican president willing to sign that into law,” Conway said. “And you have the failures of Obamacare that much more crisp and obvious in front of you.”

Until Friday, Trump had pledged to repeal and replace Obamacare at the same time — as opposed to simply repealing it and charging lawmakers with crafting a replacement in a separate bill.

“I feel that repeal and replace have to be together,” the then President-elect said in January.

“It will be essentially simultaneously,” he said separately. “It will be various segments, you understand, but will most likely be on the same day or the same week, but probably the same day. Could be the same hour.”

But on Friday, Trump changed course.

On Sunday, White House aide Mark Short said that, should Republicans not have the votes necessary to repeal and replace Obamacare all at once, they should “take care of the first step and repeal.”

If anyone is still in any doubt about whether Trump is doing well, just think about this, give it a moments thought.

The President of the US is having to sneak into the country's closest ally because of his sheer unpopularity!! Breathtaking. And this is only a day or so after the GIF
