    Kanye n Common performing The Food on Chappelle show had me so hyped for Be. I still think the live version>album version. The Corner felt so Chicago including the Intro n their videos. Its Your World put me in such a good mellow vibe it was a good time in Chicago when that album came out. Didnt even mention Chi City yet "they ask me where hip hop is goin, its Chicagoan/goin...its the city, the city yall"

    There isnt a single track on that album i wasnt stuck on. Im not from the southside but that album captured it perfectly at the time n Common was finally getting some just due.

    I gotta go back n listen to this ? props for the thread

    The Light & 6th Sense prolly my 2 favorite Common songs.

    Nag Champa up there too.

    But Be is just amazing top to bottom.

    LWFC just a lil too long its like 80mins compared to Be at about 45mins. Shoulda cut a few tracks to trim the fat.

    Don't want to take anything away from Be's greatness, but LWFC exemplified perfection. No album from Common other than LWFC gave me that feeling of where i can just put it on, let the ? ride, and vibeout while I'm smoking on a blunt. I remember listening to this in middle school and it made me realize I was a dilla fan before I was fully aware that I was one

    I gotta go with LWFC. Be is great, but LWFC got the replay value. Its musicality and lyrics just have more layers to it that you want to keep going back and study.     smh, that's just a choice quote. The entire verse is amazing. Someone explain to me how this ? ain't top 10 DOA?

    I can't really explain foolishness, but many of pleas copped by the anti-Common crowd is that he's boring. I can't tell people who or what their interests should be in but when I hear the same people claim that Jay's.4:44 is revolutionary because he dissed Eric Benet when Common said on "Faithful," "I know I'm bad, but not as bad as Eric Benet" in 2005, I see only hypocrisy.

    Ignorance is a self compounding entity. The victims never know what it is they don't nor the value of that knowledge.

    I don't see this as a diss. more just perfectly executed word play in my opinion.
