Nas and Jay are better but Rakim and Kane are their fathers. Add G Rap to that too -

Rakim came out in 1986. So did Jay Z, here's a song called HP Gets Busy that Jay rapped on in 86. Listen to Jay's flow and then compare it to Rakim's flow from the same year. Jay goes in @ 1:40 and again at 4:15.

It sounds like Jay had a nice style but the song wasn't produced properly. Some of the vocals are low and the beat could have been better. -
Why Hip Hop Fans always comparing other great artist against each other? They all great artists and Legends ....the Crab in Barrels mentality needs to stop in Hip Hop community if y'all want to Hip Hop to mature and keep growing for the future

(I'm not talking about the 86 og version I'm referring to the 84 version that opens pt2 of the documentary ) -
