And that's the problem with this type of protest. People with white faces can't be ambiguous in their allyship. I can see that it's not some racist ? , but my first thought when reading the headline was "this is some racist ? ."
I'm not sure that these performative gestures do more good than harm. A more useful exercise is confronting your friends and family when they say some evil and oppressive ? .
