    there is more than main stream commercial success. you can be more than a signed artist which being signed doesn't mean your going be successful . you can be grinding out the trunk and get money that way. you can produce for commericals do scores for movies, write songs for people etc .

    success is a personal accomplishment


    if its someones dream to record 1 song & they do it, thats successful

    if someone jus wants to sell @ least 1 cd & ends up sellin 10, thats successful



    I didnt tell anyone to stop makin music, if thats what they love to do

    but the only thing you were talking about was getting signed to a major deal. which the chances of you successful are very slim.

    when only 10 percent of the albums released by major labels in a given year are profitable what does that tell you. The

    mainstream route is setup for artist to fail. Even if an artist does go platinum they still may not break even .
