    sony has not yet determined if the personal information or credit card numbers of users on the still-offline playstation network have been stolen, according to a sony spokesman.

    Sony computer entertainment is conducting "thorough investigation" into the outage, satoshi fukuoka, a spokesman for sony computer entertainment in tokyo, told pc world.

    Sony computer entertainment of america spokesman patrick seybold reiterated fukuoka's statement, confirming that sony is still looking into whether credit card or other personal information were taken during the "external intrusion."

    both declined to provide more information about the intrusion that led the company to take the global playstation network down last week. The network remains down as of monday morning.

    In an update this morning, seybold said there is no update or timeframe for getting the network back up yet.

    If it's not coming straight from Sony don't believe it. I honestly don't believe someone hacked their system either. I think Sony ? up somewhere or something failed on them and they just don't wanna say so.

    I think it has to do with Steam integration.

    Either that or Anonymous (or other hacker) did something and they decided to pull the whole thing down and re-vamp.

    Rumor now is that someone found a way to make psn accept fake cc numbers. So Sony found out and shut down psn before they could make out with more free goodies.

    And didn't someone here brag they got the new contra game for free not long before psn went down?

    Thats all ive been reading...them cats are a joke...mostly the DC universe and PS+ members....even if they did reimburse them what would it be? 75 cents?? GTFOWTBS

    Too busy with exams and I just feel like watching the playoffs when I get off of work

    I want one of those. :D

    I only played Yakuza 4 for about an hour on Friday. You know how we get down around here. Holiday weekends mean non-stop partying.
