300 is just 100 plus minutes of slow-mo locker room homoeroticism dressed up as an action film.
300 ripped men wearing nothing but leather briefs and capes standing off 'Vogue-style' against 150000 baby-oiled Persians that look like they've stepped off a 90s Madonna video set after a hard day's shoot and looking for a ? club to dance to The Weather Girls and Village People, all lead by an effeminate Xerxes. If you're into that sort of thing then whatever, more power to you, but as with all Zac Snyder films it's all surface and nothing else. 300 is just abs and oil and grunting. Beyond that the film is nothing.
I'd rather watch Troy, or better yet, Gladiator. -
