he can survive prison going on multiple life sentences
he can escape prison and build a new empire etc.
If the show were more grounded I wouldn't even be thinking about Lydia living or any of this being possible. -

Lets not forget the ETHER that Walt put on Elliot and Gretchen. They will be looking over their shoulders and living in fear until they get that money to Walts family and that will take awhile.
