Most people when they start off think they have to do a lot on Day 1 and when they do it makes them not want to do it anymore cuz their body quits on them, start off slow and just work your way up ...
like day 1 maybe just do something like 2 laps around a track and call it a day , i bet you within in a month span you'll be doing 2 miles in no time .....and after that you'll be doing 3-5
worst thing you can do is be on some "Damn i gotta do all these laps" and it's day 1 , nah start simple -

Just load up your ipod, drive out to the nearest running trail or whatever, and go, fight the pain. By the time you wore out, you have no choice but to run back since you are on a trail....unless you want to walk and take forever getting back.

i'm telling you dude. a year ago i couldn't even run around a track one time. but kept on pushing, excuse the pun. and just kept working my way up. now i can run around 7 miles without stopping. 10 is the most i ever did. and i still smoke cigs too. -

It might be best to hold 2 competition...one for looks and body and then another for best personality, funniest, smartest...etc
The ladies will have the final say so on how it's done, I wont do anything unless we all pretty much agree how to do it. -
