Ready to Die sounds very dated to me, i was listening to it yesterday. Biggies flow and the production didn't age well, Life After Death has way more replay value.
-
Anything pre 96
-
Ready to Die didn't age well. The production on Illmatic has aged TERRIBLY.

I'm just speaking the truth, son. Illmatic is the only album I've ever head that was lyrically FLAWLESS. But the production hasn't stood up over time. Not at all. And this is coming from a Nas fan. -
What do you mean by age badly?
-
All of Ludacris albums.

The most aged albums are usually the ones that follow the formula of the time. Albums from the early to mid 90s all sound dated sonically, the style isn't in fashion anymore. So people saying Illmatic aren't lying but they are still great records.
In 10 years the ? ? are making now will be old, in 20 it will sound ? ancient. Tribe, Nas, CL Smooth all were sampling old "dusty" Jazz and soul records. That stuff was old when they sampled it. Kanye, No ID and Co. upgraded the soul sound about 10 years ago but its gone back into robotic sounding beats and samples have gone out of fashion again. When was the last time someone heard Fabolous Ghetto Fabolous? That ? sounds old as hell too and it didn't have a lot of samples on it. Swizz Beatz production from 1998 even sounds old when compared to Lil Jon but for its time it was damn near cutting edge. Its just the way of music.
