Huh? You don't even have to play the raid now to get to level 31. Bungie made this ? casual-friendly with the last update. All you have to do is buy the new armor and max it out and volla, level 31. All that grinding early adopters did to get or try to get to level 30 was for nothing. You need raid gear to get to 32 tho. No point in doing that ? tho (grinding I mean) because when the new DLC comes out and they raise the cap again, all the armor you get from the last DLC will be useless too. ? is the point in even playing this game still? -

You can only get certain guns in the raid though. -

The Last Word is a beast in CQC for PVP. Reason being:
High Impact
High Stability (with all perks)
HIgher Accuracy from hip fire
Full-Auto firing
A lot of guns in this game are situational and it helps keep the balance in the game. This is one of those situational guns that performs well in PVP but there are better options in PVE.
