Another Reason Richard Sherman is That ? : 'I'm Flattered, But I need the Ball'

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman had no idea that people can place a bet this week on how many times San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers will throw the ball his way.
"Really, you can do that?" Sherman asked. "Is that legal?"
Well, yes, in Las Vegas it is. The Vegas website www.Bovada.lv has put out an over/under line on how many times Rivers will test Sherman. It's three.
Sherman is hoping the over wins out. He's still upset about Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers avoiding him last week in the Seahawks' 36-16 victory, not once throwing pass in Sherman's direction.
Sherman was asked if he sees it as a sign of respect.
"It's still taking me a while to understand that," Sherman said. "You want to be part of the game and make your plays to help your team win. If that means not doing anything, then that's what I have to do.
"I'm flattered, but it doesn't make much sense to me. As a ballplayer, if you don't get the ball, you don't have as much impact. I need the ball."
Sherman said he's trying to put it behind him.
"It's in the past now," Sherman said. "We're just preparing for San Diego. Within the scheme of the defense, my opportunities will come. There are many methods to my madness. I just have to dig in a little bit."
But it won't be flip-flopping sides with cornerback Byron Maxwell.
"We don't do that," Sherman said. "That's a form of disrespect to the other corner. We have great players everywhere. That's slap in the face."

I can dig it. When you in the game you want to feel like you are making a contribution you want to be challenged has to be boring and frustrating to be Rudolph the rednose reindeer in an adversarial sport. Id be runnin to the opposite numbers to get in the mix
-
you are only the best if you are constantly tested with a challenge by the best

I disagree. He's the best. He shut down Megatron. No further proof is needed -
Its kinda like a bad bytch nh lol I dont need to see Megan Goode dressed up head to toe to know she better than xyz...That comparison is driven by the celebrity nude-gate but ima run with it

You dont just have a great day, the greatest day of your life and ? yourself because you won yesterday

Most overrated player of our generation
-
Sherman the lil Wayne of the NFL
-
He been in the league going into his 4th year and two time all pro
Most INT and lowest passer rating against him
Overrated?
What the ? is good then?
-
If Revis could get back to where he was when he was shutting down EVERYBODY, I'd put him #1. Until then, it's Sherman > Peterson > Haden
-
Pro bowl are votes from fans, so that will be dismissed. Peterson, Haden, and Talib all better then Sherman. Sherman is a physical cover 3 cornerback. And remember overrated doesn't mean you suck. It just means you are good, but not that good

Talib? No
Top2 QB in the league didn't even test him. Not once.
Yea, he's that good. -
I seen the Saints ? him multiple times.

All pro > Pro bowl

Rogers constantly being called the best qb in the league might be more annoying than sherman being the best CB in the league talk. The best qb in the league scared to throw to one side of the field. The ? type ? is that.
I like Petersen but over the last few years I've watched Crabtree totally torch that ? . While he struggles to get open vs Sherman -
Lamond its all about matchups....I agree with you on Rodgers.....they keep saying that, but after the superbowl he has been above average at best

Y'all giving him way too much credit for that game. The Packers game plan was to move Nelson to the left side to either
A.) Force Sherman out his comfort zone and move
Or
B.) Get their number #1 WR on the Seahawks #2 DB
Now if y'all wanna give him props for yoking Jared Boykin cool but to act like any NFL QB would be scared of one side of the field is stupid. Imo Maxwell deserves more credit for what he did to Jordy Nelson -
