how??? nothing else existed there was no order that was especially true for western Europe. today some of the things religious organization did can be done by secular entities but the fact still remains that it was religion that started many of the things that help birth the modern world. -

I agree, religion brought in way too many negatives in the long run.....the Abrahamic ? 's support of slavery and genocide in Christianity, Judaism and Islam pushed back human progress in many ways. Societies that aren't religious or have large amounts of non religious people are the most stable, while religious nations are full of freak jobs and people who will ? and destroy people and items just because it's different from their world view. I don't believe this is a coincidence. -

Religious fools in America and in Europe used the Bible to justify all kinds of terrorism and evil. If the Bible or Abrahamic ? NEVER existed, human progress would have been accelerated. Muslim slave traders used the Koran to ruin lives all over Africa and the Middle East, while Europeans used the Bible to ruin lives all over the world. Organized religion has been one of the WORST things to ever happen to humans.

Religious folk have done some good, I won't deny this but in the grand scheme of things, religion has held people back socially and morally. For every great religious person who started a school or library back then, there were more religious fools pushing for slavery, ? , and genocide for the sake of a religious book that matched their perverted and evil needs. If it wasn't for the Bible, Torah and Koran, I bet much of the horror and terrorism we see in the world today would be eliminated. Word to Boko Haram and the Christian Europeans who ? the whole world up. The world is still suffering from the after effects of evil, Christian slavers and conquerors, who are glorified mass murderers.
Or do you think it's a coincidence the biggest beefs in the world today revolve around Jews, Muslims, and Christians? The biggest ether against organized religion is how people in Abrahamic religions TREAT EACH OTHER -

This just is not true if not for Islam the Arabs would still be in the sand your posts are nothing but feelings are don't reflect historical facts. And really most societies in history have been very religious you don't have much examples to draw on. You can use modern European nations as an example but I already proved that their
peace is not upheld by lack of religion. -

Christianity is "big" in America on a shallow level, most Christians do not take the Bible here seriously. But back when Americans DID take the Bible seriously (in larger numbers compared to now), American politicians EXPLICITLY used the Bible to support manfest destiny and slavery, oppression, and even stealing land. Now that Christianity isn't taken as seriously, people (for the most part) think these things are wrong in this country. I can post up quotes from various American politicians in the past who used the Bible to support everything I said.
And non religious people in America are 25% of the population now, that number would have been unthinkable just 25 years ago. I expect the number to grow as time goes on. -

that's just your feelings and opinion which is cool i have no problem with that , but the reality is that the fact that christians in america are no longer practicing slavery and killing people for land only means that we are talking the words of christ more serious not less. I agree to the extent that it always came round(in it's many facets) and filled in the lack. We're suppose to have grown past the past. There is a lot to learn from the bible(and other books) imo, but I also think if people are expected to revert there entire mind set to 2000+yrs ago, it cause a psychosis or aberration of/in the mind.
It's time to let go, you can be the same person or better after religion. -

No one, no religious person wants to live like humans did 2000 years ago the only exception to this maybe some sects of muslims. IT WAS religious insistutions that invented/supported the first universities these places would never have been created in the first place if religious people in the past wanted things to stay the same.
The past informs the future if we lie about our past we risk ? up the future. let go of religion/? ???? for what reason we can live without ice cream but why would we want too. -

My view on Abrahamic religions isn't warped, I've read the words of the holy books of the Abrahamic ? carefully and they all love and encourage terrorism. Yes much of the views are peaceful but many passages of the holy books encourage bloodshed and whether you like it or not, Jesus never explicitly denied the Old Testament, he praised and never criticized it. This is why Columbus, Hernando Cortes, and Pizzaro among other Christian terrorists USED THE WORDS OF THE BIBLE to encourage massive rapes, slaughter of innocents and bloodshed on levels that can disgust any historian. And as you would know, Jesus is the Old Testament ? , right....? So technically, Pizzaro and them were quoting Jesus when they encouraged the Christian reign of terror that plagued the world for a long time.
And of course, we now know religious people in certain societies around the world used religion to justify human sacrifice. I'm not necessarily anti-religion, but we shouldn't pretend it's been a net positive for humanity.
