I still remember the movie Raphael was going to see in the beginning was Critters, that's a cult classic that never gets talked about. Yes it was an obvious ripoff of Gremlins but I loved those movies as a kid.

I didn't get to enjoy this movie in theaters because my parents did me ? and decided a few days before we were going go see it, not to go at all because my dad heard some BS about the turtles doing some witchcraft/devil worship ? ...

LOLOLOLOLOLOL that movie had me shooook as a kid. I used to have a teddy bear that resembled a Critter, after I saw that movie I dashed that ? LOLOLOL. For the longest I swore up and down Prince was in that movie as the rock star dude that came to destroy them LOLOL. Critters 2 was gruesome af tho.

I think I was the only kid in the theater laughing my ass off...especially when they drugged his big headed ass down them stairs and he was hitting that noise "ughh...ughh" man I was in tears laughing rolling eating my popcorn...
I think I more so laughing at the noise that big headed ? was making...clan beat that ? into a coma Lol
thinking he can do the ? on his own..smh..

I just watched Ooze again last night. Way too much comedy. Even the Shredder was diffused by excess comedy.
It was alright but no where near the level of OG.

I just watched Ooze again last night. Way too much comedy. Even the Shredder was diffused by excess comedy.
It was alright but no where near the level of OG.

Look at the difference.
OG was darker look wise, Splinter got kidnapped and tortured, Raph got beaten to an inch of his life. Shredder fighting the turtles was going in for the ? and he fell off the roof and got compacted. Plus mad emotional scenes throughout the movie.
All that was too much for kids to comprehend so they dumbed it down -

i remember my grandma used to call em the engine turtles.
over in my apartment complex it was a big sewer drain in the woods
that dumped into this creek, we used to go up in the sewers and act
like we was on some real turtles ? lol. -
Me and my cousin begged my uncle to take us to the movies to go see it when it first came out.
We became Turtle fans from that day forward, i showed my oldest kids the other day and they love it too.
We was in Germany at this time and it was a huge hit over there too. -
