I think the Knicks will be better than advertised this season.. Simply because the defense will be much better.. The person i'm most worried about is Afflalo.. For years we haven't gotten hit from the 2 spot.. Aaron has to give us something from there...

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/13769364/ncaa-bans-smu-mustangs-2016-postseason-suspends-larry-brown-10-percent-team-games
The NCAA has banned SMU from 2016 postseason play and has suspended Larry Brown for 30 percent of the team's games this season because of a lack of head coach control, a source close to the situation said.
The 30 percent ban for Brown means he will miss nine games total. The school also will be hit with nine scholarship losses over the next three years, a source said, although it was two below the limit this past season. SMU also will be placed on three years' probation.
The school can appeal the findings.
Larry Brown did not know about the violation while it was going on but failed to promptly report the issue when he found out, a source said. Ray Carlin/Icon SMI
The NCAA is expected to announce the sanctions at 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
This marks the third time a Brown-coached program has been sanctioned by the NCAA, with the others happening at Kansas and UCLA.
Part of the investigation at SMU stemmed from whether a former basketball administrator and ex-assistant coach Ulric Maligi helped Keith Frazier to become eligible to play at SMU, a source previously told ESPN.
The school and Brown met with the NCAA's committee of infractions in late June. Maligi took a leave of absence in the middle of last season, but he was not found to be involved after the NCAA investigation, a source said.
A source said the former basketball administrator did not agree to speak with the NCAA about the investigation.
Brown did not have knowledge of any violation while it was going on, a source said. He learned about the violation after it occurred, but he did not promptly report the issue and was not clear about the violation with the NCAA's enforcement staff when he was first interviewed by the NCAA, the source added.
In addition to the major penalties, off-campus recruiting will be cut by 20 days, along with a reduction in permissible phone calls and communications with recruits, according to a source. The school will not be allowed any unofficial visits during the summer of 2016 for men's basketball, either.
SMU is expected to be a preseason Top 25 team and a contender for the American Athletic Conference title. An official at the AAC said the league would have no comment on the matter Tuesday.
The NCAA hit Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim with a nine-game ACC regular-season suspension after an investigation found that the school and Boeheim did not control and monitor its athletic programs.
Brown, 75, took over at SMU in 2012 after spending much of his career in the NBA. Prior to landing in the NBA, he led Kansas to the NCAA title in 1988. Kansas was banned from postseason play the following season and placed on probation for three years due to recruiting violations. Brown also coached UCLA for two seasons, and led the Bruins to the 1980 national title game appearance.
Brown has coached the Denver Nuggets, New Jersey Nets, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Indiana Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks and Charlotte Bobcats in the NBA. He also coached the Nuggets and Carolina Cougars in the ABA.
Brown won the NBA title in 2004 with the Pistons.
Information from ESPN's Andy Katz was used in this report.

http://www.sneakermob.com/derrick-rose-says-his-accuser-is-just-bitter-because-her-toys-werent-reimbursed-news.7678.htmlDERRICK ROSE SAYS HIS ACCUSER IS JUST BITTER BECAUSE HER 'TOYS' WEREN'T REIMBURSED
Last month TMZ reported some startling allegations involving the Chicago Bulls All-Star point guard, Derrick Rose, and one of his ex girlfriends, who claims he drugged and ? her in 2013.
According to 'Jane Doe's' lawsuit, Rose and two friends drugged her and then gang ? her while she was incoherent. She claims she waited two years to file a report because she was ashamed and embarrassed about what happened.
Rose's accuser says the two continued to date until August 2013, when Rose and two friends, Ryan Allen and Randall Hampton (who is also Rose's personal manager), invited her to Rose's Beverly Hills house. She says there, they slipped a drug into her drink with the aim of ? her.
The plaintiff says she escaped the house with a friend, but later that night, Rose and his friends broke into her apartment and gang ? her while she was incapacitated. She says she remembers only "flashes" of the incident, but can remember the defendants forcibly ? her.
However, Rose's attorney insists this is nothing more than a money grab, "an attempt to shake down a highly respected and successful athlete," claiming this is the third attorney that the woman has hired in an attempt to sue him.
D-Rose maintains his innocence, claiming the woman gave him [and his friends] consent on the night the alleged ? occurred. He insists she's just bitter because she wasn't reimbursed for one of the 'toys' she bought and used during one of their wild nights.
Per TMZ:
Rose has now filed docs of his own in which he claims the accuser "consented to sexual interaction with more than one co-defendant on more than one occasion, consented to sexual interactions on the day in question, and invited the defendants to her apartment and buzzed them in."
Rose says things were so cool the following day -- the accuser casually had a cup of coffee with her roommate in the morning after the sex ... and headed into work for a full shift. The implication is that a ? victim would have been way too distraught to have done any of that.
In the docs, Rose says the woman only began to get upset with him a few weeks or months later because she felt she should have been reimbursed for one of the sex toys she bought and used during the night in question.
Rose and the unidentified woman were reportedly in a non-exclusive, consensual relationship for over two years before splitting up in 2013. -
