Its a double edge sword, any man with confidence, and who "wants it" should always strive for that, or cry baby fans will say "Shelton did want it bad enough". You can't have it both ways, when guys like Cena, HHH, and Brock are giving the world.
Punk was also given the world on a ? platter. He should be in his prime right now.
Longest WWE Championship reign in the modern era
His contract resigning in 2011 made him a wealthy man.
He was the man next to Cena. One wrestlemania where he faces hhh and he can't stand that?
That was just penciled in... In January.
He would have got a Rumble victory
He would have main evented Mania.
Vince loved him.
What did he have to complain about again? -
I remember when edge and booker was feuding over a damn shampoo endorsement
both deserved better heading into WM18, especially edge since it was in his home town that year -

Triple H didnt love him though, and Daniel Bryan was sorta beginning to equal or eclipse Punk, and with Lesnar being brought back, and there being only one world title, and Orton and Cena being there, Reigns being seen as the future, his light was getting smaller n smaller each day.
Call it being selfish, but I think he realized the trend and what was going around him and had some self realization to leave b4 hr would start jobbing to Dolph Ziggler Wednesday Night Main Event and feuding with The Miz. It was either that or TNA. I woulda quit with the money I made n saved too. It was nice knowing yall.
On top of that his body can recover naturally instead of being like Edge. People forget that his health played a HUGE factor in all of this, not just backstage political evaluation. He probably wanna be healthy enough to run around and play with his future kids. -

punk was still second fiddle to cena during that championship run. the wwe champion was on the undercard while cena was main eventing with the likes of kane, big show and john laurinaitis
he also wanted some time off and was forced to return 1 month into it. vince promised he would "owe him one" which ended up being an empty promise
he had concerns with how wwe talent would get paid given that the wwe network would make ppv obsolete. they were never addressed
he wasn't feeling the direction the company was going creatively
he didn't want to wrestle hhh at WM. punk still resented hunter for pinning him during the height of his popularity for no good reason outside of ego
and he wrestled for months with a staph infection that the medical staff wrote off as a bruise or some ? . he wrestled on the same mat as the other talent did with a staph infection. he shared a locker room with the guys for months with a staph infection. wwe is fortunate that ? didn't spread
those are legit reasons to be upset don't you think? -

You make a valid argument. I'm a Punk fan, it's more resentment I won't be seeing one of my favorite wrestlers who is actually one of the best wrestle full time -

That whole year where Punk was under card as champion was a storyline that never came to fruition. Punk vs Cena should have main evented wrestlemania.
That whole issue about pay and time off was a burden for everyone in the locker room. Not just Punk.
Everything else is trivial -

I never said it only concerned punk but he was the very few who could've said anything without being punished. he was basically the voice of the locker room. like austin said, wrestlers today are seemingly walking on egg shells scared to ? people off
the direction of the company isn't trivial. it basically decides whether or not fans care to watch the product or not
and lol at a staph infection and the mans overall health being trivial

It's all just a one sided story -
how is it a one sided story, basically u in here downing punk cuz he wasnt willing to die in the ring. i get being upset as i am about him sayin "wrestlings fake ? it" but how u mad at bruh for protecting himself
he was given the world? what the ? wwe were u watching?
he was in the ring on one leg a bruised brain and with a staph infection too many times b4 he left, not to mention the injuries b4 all that, counted on vince to have his back and whats his reward? possibly being asked to job again to hhh when if he didnt the first time he'd prolly actually main event as champion. yall stop lettin that 430 day reign fool yall as if "well they gave him every thing he wanted"
first couple title reigns he damn near main evented ppvs more than he did during the long reign, and he was over all that time but creative always got in his way
plus b4 all this ? punk had alluded to retiring mid 30's anyway -
Miz got dropped
While WWE originally had The Miz scheduled as a third participant in the WWE Intercontinental Championship bout at this Sunday's WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view, for whatever reason they decided to make it a straight singles match between Big Show and Ryback.

Ty CMPunk for leaving b4 they started "an Ultimate Destruction Of CM Punk " dvd. Hell he may or may not still own the rights to CM Punk but that's not even the point.
I'll roll with the dude who sat down and shot on the idea of Cena being the best b4 Owens took it to a more personal level, the guy who made it cool to run through the crowd with the title b4 Dean Ambrose did it a few weeks ago. The first prominent and relevant wrestler to show the Macho Man any time of respect or recognition for that matter b4 WWE caved in after like 5 years.
I refuse to roll with the ? Hogan, who yall hated in TNA and want to kiss his ass now. The guy who was still ? talking bout Macho Man in an interview just weeks b4 Macho died, then "acted" like they were back on speaking terms b4 Macho died. The same guy who told his son Nick , "it was bad karma for why his former friend ended uo paralyze, and nothing to due with Nick speeding like an idiot". Or the guy who refused to drop the belt to Bret Too Small Hart, or lose to H Too Small B K.
Hogan is one of the most selfish human beings at the height of his success, and it seems that old age, and ironically realization of his own "mortality" with associates like Macho Man n Warrior passing mixed with ex wife debacle , has somewhat changed the man for real and humbled him, but I think it's childlike to hate Punk for leaving you, and rolling with Hogan for coming back.
Like I said b4, I can only count on one hand all the wrestlers who left WWE on their own terms with their health, on their own terms, and to bigger, and more fulfilling things, and in their relative prime b4 they got jobbed out to Chavo like levels without a WCW to fall back on, and dying in some independent circuit. CM Punk, The Rock..maybe Jesse Ventura?
I'll always respect Punk.
Facts.
This the best shoot promo i've seen on here you nailed it son !!!!

and now for the "wwe does petty ass ? thinking we care but we dont instead of puttin that energy toward something more useful" thing of the week
http://wrestling-edge.com/news-on-why-wwe-booked-sheamus-vs-randy-orton-two-weeks-in-a-row-on-raw/
Bryan Alvarez mentioned on last night’s episode of the Bryan & Vinny & Craig show that the reason WWE had Sheamus vs. Randy Orton two weeks in a row on RAW is to have two top stars, (who are in the Money in the Bank ladder match), wrestle each other and then have both matches end in DQ to make you, (the fan), want to see them in the MITB ladder match where there are no DQ’s.
Sheamus vs. Randy Orton in a singles match has happened fifteen times and nine of them have ended in a no DQ or no contest.
WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The event will air on the WWE Network and traditional pay-per-view outlets. This will be the sixth event under the Money in the Bank chronology and the first WWE pay-per-view event held in Columbus since 2004. -

Steve Austin and Edge Reportedly Contact Tyson Kidd
- The impression given to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter on Tyson Kidd's injury is that it's a serious one. We noted last week via The Observer that Kidd had a spinal cord injury, essentially a broken neck. The injury came in the recent RAW dark match against Samoa Joe. Since the concussion lawsuits, WWE has been secretive about releasing information on injuries. It was believed before that Kidd may avoid surgery but now there's talk that he may need surgery, which would mean a lengthy amount of time away from the ring.
It was noted that Edge and Steve Austin, who have had neck problems in the past, both called Kidd to offer moral support and advice.

Damn.. and they were coming on up as a really great tag team.

WWE officials have talked about making the annual Slammy Awards a standalone event instead of having it as an episode of RAW. The idea is that the awards would air on the WWE Network in December, similar to how the Hall of Fame was. They would book a smaller theater-type venue instead of a major arena.
On a related note, right now WWE is planning on holding quarterly live specials on the WWE Network in 2016, specials like Elimination Chamber and the July 4th show from Tokyo.
I honestly hope they do. Creative has enough issues with doing a proper Raw. Them Slammy ones generally are some of the worse ones in the year. -
