Truth hurts. He inherited a Super Bowl team that Cowher built and got em a ring. He's a great motivator, but he's not a great coach. His drafts the last few years have been mostly busts.
Inherited what? He's good coach you better look at his record bruh
Nobody's saying he's not a good coach. He's a good coach, but far from great.vageneral08 wrote: »PanchoYoSancho wrote: »PanchoYoSancho wrote: »vageneral08 wrote: »Terry bradshaw talking slick about tomlin huh....? that redneck ?

Do you want to compare cower and Tomlin coaching stats because cower isn't winning that but he's considered great.. perception is a muthafucka
Cowher inherited a middle of the pack team and built a contender that went to 2 Super Bowls and won 1. He also helped build the team that Tomlin won a ring with. Those were by large in part Cowher's players and coaches.
What? He retired in 06 what they did in 2010 and 2011 had nothing to do with him -

Brady has done it longer, more consistent and oh yea has 5 super bowls...Rodgers has a habit of going on bad playing streaks...I know the bellichik effect helps brady w that..but still brady the best QB in the NFL today...then Rodgers is second
None of the ? you name had anything to do with skills? This is considered aaron off year but his qb rating is 100 and tb is 103 sooooo..
Skill? I would say Brady has better pocket awareness..not by a wide margin though...Rodgers has better physical tools than Brady...but we know great quarterbacking takes more than that -
Can hear the groans from the Bills' crowd as Dan Carpenter misses 45-yard overtime field goal wide right. Smaller stage, but harkens back to Super Bowl XXV and Scott Norwood's missed 47-yard field goal... wide right.

you would think dude had money on this game
Guess replacing a pro bowl CB with a pair of rookies is not a recipe for success -

You don't get to 0-14 by accident? -

Not saying Cowher was a great coach either, but he's CLEARLY a better coach than Tomlin. His teams underachieved, but he still knew how to build a roster and coaching staff. Cowher was also cursed with ? QB play for most of his coaching career in Pittsburgh. He only had 3 years with Big Ben (1 as a rookie) and got to 2 AFC Championship games and won a Super Bowl. If he had Big Ben for a decade like Tomlin, he would've had 2-3 Super Bowls.
He took a team with Neil O' Donnell to the Super Bowl which is an achievement in itself and O' Donnell proceeded to give a Super Bowl away. -

Like what? So out of all the skills that a qb has aaron is better then Brady but somehow Brady is better..How does that even make sense? You cant name anything outside of team success that Brady is better at -
We Got Next ? All we need is a QB RB DB OT CB DT DE TE WR Kicker And A New Special Teams and We Super Bowl Bond #DawgPound

We'll, being a great coach is how the argument start with the bradshaw comment.. but I can't think of a great coach in the NFL besides BB..
For you to say he know how to built a roster and not have a hof qb until the tail end of his career. Doesn't make a good argument of building a roster.
To be honest Mike tomlin actually help Ben become who he is today by opening the offense and drafting players.
