I take al green over Curtis

I said that to my daddy n ensuing convo got to the point where my uncle had to separate us

2 of my favorites but Al Green was a 1 trick pony type artist. All he did was love songs (he may be the best ever at it tho)

Curtis did the love songs, street ? , & political topics. He was way more diverse.

Initial album cover for Bad... I got that from the documentary Spike Lee made on the 25th anniversary of the album's release

But it was scrapped 'cos I think Mike and his management thought it was kinda fruity..

So was Stevie. Songs in The Key of Life and Innervisions cover all those topics.

Just to break up the regular names being talked about.

Overall impact and star power those listed and talked are better but not to many could actually sing better than this man

Curtis last album before his death he recorded paralyzed in bed on his back. He had to punch in all the lines 1 by 1 (like eazy did in the nwa movie)

James Brown didn't have any lyrics for real if folks really paid attention.

His band just had the party jumpin and he did enough on the mic.

For those of ya'll that say Stevie only got 2 or 3 classics, ALL of his albums are classics.

He had an album in 1985 called In Square Circle. I remember my pops bought it when it came out. Every song on that album is a banger.

Then he had another album in 2005 called A Time To Love that's also banging from front to back. My brother put me on to that one.

My point is that Stevie has a lot of albums that went under the radar that bang from front to back.

    Anyway, here's my top 10 Stevie tracks;

    1. Do I Do (Stevie and Dizzy Gillespie!!)
    2. That Girl
    3. Living For The City
    4. Isn't She Lovely
    5. Love Light In Flight
    6. Sir Duke
    7. As
    8. Skeletons
    9. Jungle Fever
    10. Too High

1st week cop back when it dropped! Very good album and I admired the courage and strength it took to complete it.

Had to throw MJ in there b/c ironically it was stacked very close to Mr. Mayfield's cd.
