    Edit. If you guys can help me out we could do a top 100 albums from NYC/New Jersey/Philly and a top 100 albums from the other 47 states and have a vote. I need 20 more East Coast albums that came out after 2000 to make 100.

    To minimize the excuses.

    @skpjr78

    Serious question: why are you so fixated on Jay Z? This thread isn't about Jay Z.

    And you seem to be the only person that doesn't like him.

    Also, whats with the ad hominem attacks? why can't you debate your point without name calling? It makes you look immature.

    New York has strength in numbers and probably more great albums than other regions....but grand likes to act like there isn't great albums from other regions that top many of the top new York albums

    Hence the problem with being regionally biased

    Pac is my favorite rapper of all time, but there's just no way he gets 3 of his albums in the top 5.

    How can't he? Because you just don't want to give it to the same person? Because all the albums are worthy

    If 2000 is the cutoff then that goes for the south and the west too.

    First of all, why should there be a cutoff? But even if you made 2000 the cutoff NYC/New Jersey/Philly would win.

    Thats all I got for now. So lets see what the other 47 states have to say.

    and the top 5 albums you listed were all based on someone else's rhymes, style, flow and creativity. cee-lo's discography is more creative, more lyrical, more original and has more substance than any jay-z, rocafella, roc nation influenced project. try again.

    ? , did someone with an extremely high estrogen level hijack your account and go on a feelings-laden, anti-east coast tirade? I don't ever remember you being this irrational in any of your past posts. ? is wrong witchu? Smh. Cut that ? out, bruh. ? is wack. And the only ? that's agreeing with you is a clown ass ? . Do better.

    I'm from Cleveland, btw, before you say something stupid. Which, if any of your past posts are an indication, I'm sure was coming sooner rather than later.

    i couldnt give a ? less where you're from ? . none of you hoes can argue that jay-z has been biting lines, styles and flows for decades and that the east has been depending on everyone else for productions, style and creativity. until you can prove me wrong you can eat a ? ,

    Nah, but your moms shoulda. It woulda saved the world from another little ? . Foh, ? .

    talking all that ? but still cant dispute that jigga has been stealing a dead man's lines for 20 years and the east coast cant survive without southern and west coast talent. prove me wrong or eat a ? .

    @skpjr78

    Serious question: why are you so fixated on Jay Z? This thread isn't about Jay Z.

    And you seem to be the only person that doesn't like him.

    Also, whats with the ad hominem attacks? why can't you debate your point without name calling? It makes you look immature.

    lol at Im obsessed with jay-z. im not the one who created an nyc goat mc list or 100 best album since 2000 and but his rhyme stealing ass on top of both. you did stan.

    enough with this changing the subject ? . since you put jigga on the top of your nyc goat artist and albums list please explain how someone with his history of biting rhymes, jacking flows, and ? riding other people's creativity can be #1 at anything? if you are as thorough as you claim to be in all things hip-hop tell me the exact time, location and date that biting became tolerable within the culture.

    New York has strength in numbers and probably more great albums than other regions....but grand likes to act like there isn't great albums from other regions that top many of the top new York albums

    Hence the problem with being regionally biased

    you just proved my point. i intentionally left pac off the goat albums list b/c it wouldn't be fair to sick him on the east coast again. it's 2017 and they still haven't recovered from the damage he did from 94-96. even with leaving pac off we can still have a debate about which 4 west coast albums are better than anything on @5grand 's ? list and have nonstop material to choose from. anyone from the east coast who is honest with themselves know they cant do the same.

    and for whatever it's worth im from the south and my favorite music is west coast ? from the 90s with southern ? from the 90s-00s behind and east coast ? prior to '92 coming in third. we never tripped on that regional bias ? . we just ? with good music down here. outside of dmx and big nothing out of ny was worth listening to after the west coast and southern take overs. dj quik, daz, warren g and dr. dre's beautiful compositions ended that boom bap ? forever. organized noise, beats by the pound, no joe, the neptunes, kanye, cool and dre, dj tump, etc further validated that point. more options and better music rendered that east coast ? obsolete.

    Pac is my favorite rapper of all time, but there's just no way he gets 3 of his albums in the top 5.

    How can't he? Because you just don't want to give it to the same person? Because all the albums are worthy

    Objectively speaking, I don't believe all 3 of those albums are better/more influential/more innovative than It Takes A Nation..., Death Certificate, Straight Outta, Paid In Full, Low End Theory, and ? , which all can be brought up in any top 5 album debate. The only constant being Illmatic.

    I have ? top 5 and death certificate top 10.....to me the other 3 aren't in the convo for top 5 though

    Btw do me a favor...i was in the land a few weeks ago....go tell the rock n roll hall of fame they need more Tupac stuff...his exhibit was underwhelming for a new hall of famer
