My ? I really really hope Whedon does not repurpose it into another of his Avengers movies. He knows Batman and Superman better than Snyder. Not so much Wonder Woman but start there.

It's only for a few reshoots.

Yeah I just read up all the info on another site. So it's not so bad.

only way i could see the crossover happening is in Lego mode. I would think they wanted to include at least one marvel character in the lego movie. They had ninja turtles and simpsons in it.

Hoping this succeeds. Always wanted to see some MCU and DCU crossovers on tbe big screen. Pretty sure it will happen as long as the money is right

only way DC/Marvel crossovers would happen is if WB started selling DC properties' movie rights like Marvel did in the 90's.

Wonder Woman Director Reveals Villains' Motivations

Wonder Woman is about to receive her own feature film on the silver screen, a little over a year after the character made her cinematic debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

With Patty Jenkins directing, the movie tells the story of Diana of Themyscira’s first foray into the world of mankind at the height of the Great War.

The ? of War Ares has been manipulating events from the shadows, causing the battle to spread all across the globe. And his machinations are leading to one of the most devious events to date as the German General Erich Luddendorff schemes with Doctor Poison, played by Danny Huston and Elena Anaya respectively.

Jenkins recently spoke about the characters and their motivations at a press junket for Wonder Woman’s imminent premiere (via Collider), revealing why they’re the perfect foils for Gal Gadot and Chris Pine’s characters.

“The challenge was to see both the good and the bad of mankind,” Jenkins said. “And, you know, Steve [Trevor, played by Chris Pine] really ends up, like, representing the good and the complexity of mankind. But Doctor Poison and General Ludendorff are great examples of the bad of mankind. And they’re also great examples of how that is not conscientious choice to be a villain. Every villain has their belief system that makes perfect sense to them.”

In the film, Doctor Poison develops a deadly gas that Luddendorff intends to use on the Allied forces, which Wonder Woman and Trevor are attempting to thwart. It looks to be an amazing adventure film set in the trappings of a devastating war, which could truly showcase Diana’s heroism in a way the character truly deserves.

Patty Jenkins On Potential Wonder Woman Sequel

Early reactions to Wonder Woman are inspiringly positive, and fans are eager to see a sequel greenlit. The studio has been rather mum on the possibility, but director Patty Jenkins has some ideas for it.

The director spoke to Fandango about the possibility of a sequel, saying "It's definitely something I'm very, very, very interested. I love what we've created and I love the team that I worked with doing it and these actors so much that, yeah, we're all very excited to talk about continuing forward together."

As for what she wants to see specifically, that would be the broadening of Wonder Woman's influence around the world. "I think it's very important that she goes on to be a very international superhero," Jenkins said. "I can't wait to bring her to America as well."

As for if that will happen, Jenkins sounds hopeful, and definitely wants to explore the time between Wonder Woman and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. "It's something that one will know soon," she said. "Like, what she has been doing all of these years, but it's definitely something I have thought a lot about."

Wonder Woman hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action-adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, Princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and is written by Allan Heinberg, Geoff Johns, and Zack Snyder. The film stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis (Etta Candy), Danny Huston, Ewen Bremmer, Doutzen Kroes, Samantha Jo (Euboea), Florence Kasumba (Senator Acantha), Said Taghmaoui, Eleanor Matsuura (Epione), Emily Carey (Young Diana), and Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe).

The DCEU continues with Wonder Woman opens in theaters on June 2, 2017, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.

Doug Liman is no longer directing "Justice League Dark" aka "Dark Universe" (im sure name will officially be JL Dark now due to the Universal Dark Universe) due to scheduling conflicts.

The rumor is the director of the upcoming IT movie is in talks to take over. I thought the movie would never get made but it sounds like DC/WB definitely have plans for it to come out one day.

I mean with Marvel Studios finally embracing it's magic side via Doc Strange it stands to reason WB would also want to exploit the magical and supernatural side of their DC IP.

Aquaman: Michael Beach Confirms He Is Playing Black Manta's Father

Warner Bros. has already started shooting it's anticipated Aquaman project, and now it seems they've added another star to the cast.

The film's villain will be Aquaman's most notable nemesis Black Manta. Manta will be played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and the reason he loathes Aquaman in the comics stems from his the death of his father. The father role will most likely be played by actor Michael Beach, who was seen earlier this year in a photo Mateen shared on Instagram from the set.

Beach was asked recently if he was playing the role of Manta's father "yes or no?", to which he said, "Yes or No...correct!" It's a sly answer to be sure, but if he wasn't he would have just said no or not at this time. Combined with his earlier appearance, it seems his casting is just going officially unannounced, which makes sense since the role is most likely rather small.

Manta's father brought his son along when he confronted Arthur Curry, prompting Arthur's father to get involved. While he successfully fended them off, he died shortly after the encounter from a heart attack. Arthur then sought out Manta's father for retribution, but things go awry and he ends up accidentally killing him. Manta takes his infamous mantle and seeks revenge for his father's death, holding Aquaman forever accountable.

Aquaman will appear next in Justice League, and you can find the official synopsis below.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ezra Miller (The Flash), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Ciarán Hinds (Steppenwolf), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth), J.K. Simmons (Commissioner Gordon), Amber Heard (Mera), Kiersey Clemons (Iris West) and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor).

Is Warner Bros. Eyeing J.A Bayona For Man Of Steel 2?

J.A Bayona is a hot commodity these days, and he just might be making his way to the DCEU.

That's if previous patterns are any indication. In the past, actors who have followed notable DC and Warner Bros. names like Geoff Johns and Zack Snyder on Twitter have eventually found their way into DCEU projects. Some suspect that may be the case again with Bayona, as he recently followed Geoff Johns on Twitter (via Cosmic Book News).

Alone it might not be anything, but Bayona has previously stated that the character is close to his heart and that Superman (with Christopher Reeve) is "the film that made me want to become a director". Not only that, but his current Twitter header is Superman holding together some train tracks, perhaps bridging the gap between sequels?

Okay okay, that last one was pure tin foil hat. As for this happening previously, it occurred most recently with Joe Manganiello, who followed the same trajectory and eventually became Deathstroke for the upcoming Batman project. There just might be some smoke here, but in the meantime, fans can enjoy his take on the Jurrasic Park series with the upcoming Jurassic World 2.

Wonder Woman Reviews Debut On Billboard

The official review embargo for Wonder Woman may still be in place, but Warner Bros. is getting a head start on using positive critical reactions to promote the film in the United Kingdom.

Warner Bros. has put up a billboard in the United Kingdom showing a series of four-star reviews from British outlets including Time Out, Radio Times, Empire, and Total Film.

There’s also a quote from the Time Out review praising star Gal Gadot’s performance. The quote reads, “Gal Gadot makes a knockout Wonder Woman.”

The outlets all operate on a five-star review scales, so these ratings aren’t perfect, but they’re still good. By comparison, most of these outlets gave previous DC Extended Universe movies Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad three stars or less.

Take a look at the Wonder Woman movie review billboard for yourself below.

Wonder Woman currently has a 4.10 out of 5 ComicBook User Anticipation Rating, making it the ninth most anticipated upcoming comic book movie among ComicBook.com readers. Let us know how excited you are about Wonder Woman by giving it your own ComicBook User Anticipation Rating below.

Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, Princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana meets an American pilot (Chris Pine) who tells her about the massive conflict that's raging in the outside world. Convinced that she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home for the first time. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins, from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg & Geoff Johns, story by Heinberg & Zack Snyder and Jason Fuchs, and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner and David Thewlis.

Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston for DC Comics. She made her first appearance in All Star Comics #8 in 1941 and has gone on to become a feminist icon and one of DC Comics' most beloved and recognizable characters. Though she had a popular television series in the 1970s starring Lynda Carter, the Wonder Woman movie will be the character's first time headlining a film.

Wonder Woman opens in theaters June 2, 2017

I'm really glad the reviews are great . The movie industry NEEDED this but then I realize of course Wonder Woman would be the movie for a female lead character to get racing reviews now let's see how it sells cuz that's the important part ..
